I am an open-minded and very conservative Texan who has voted mostly Republican since 1976. I am very happy to now be confidently supporting Robert Kennedy, Jr. for President and Nicole Shanahan for V.P. Henceforth, I will no longer refer to myself as a conservative Republican. No longer. I am forevermore an Independent. I have ordered my sharp-looking Kennedy 2024 cap and two excellent coffee mugs ("No Shirt, No Shoes..." and "At No Time In Our History..."), and will proudly wear that cap and display the mugs prominently at home and when I venture out into my conservative rural area festooned everywhere with pro-Trump caps and flags and blistering anti-Biden flags. I am constantly doing much homework, thanks to the great resources Team Kennedy is providing everywhere. As a regular at Walmart and Brookshire's, I am fully prepared to discuss in detail with anyone interested why I support Team Kennedy and how they and their ideas and ideals align so very well with ideas and ideals that I hold most dearly. Go Kennedy 2024! Go USA! Together, let's go fix our badly broken country!

What was your opinion of Ross Perot and would you say he has similarities to RFK Jr.?
@@frankfritter8171 I rejected George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton, and voted for Perot. Perot sought to tackle the national debt and advocated fiscal responsibility. He had skills to get things done, while explaining himself very clearly to the everyday American people. He was a good alternative to the abysmal status quo of that time. However, I knew that he was at best a long shot. On the other hand, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is quite different and better than Perot. Kennedy clearly is a much more skilled candidate and communicator who connects extremely well with a broad range of people. He possesses leadership skills, and can undoubtedly take on the Swamp and our corrupt government. I truly believe that he can win and would be an excellent president - especially in contrast to the current status quo.

The reason some Trump supporters won't vote for him have to do with gun control issues (which he has attempted to distance himself from), environmental issues and his running mate, who some see as suspect because she's bankrolling him, doesn't seem like a serious choice and was married to a co-founder of Google (CIA). I like him and he's a very smart guy but he believes in abortion up to the time of birth which is just plain evil.. and yes I heard him say it
I think abortion should be abolished, but to be fair, he said the government should not be involved in abortion, and it's a matter between the doctor and mother, and he corrected himself after on a post on X and admitted that there are situations where women abort a pregnancy without good reason and he did not agree with that. All this to say, if he was being honest, he would push to pull public funding from organizations that do abortions. Otherwise, that means government is involved in the matter.
Here is from his recent post on it, "I had been assuming that virtually all late-term abortions were such cases, but I’ve learned that my assumption was wrong. Sometimes, women abort healthy, viable late-term fetuses. These cases of purely “elective” late-term abortion are very upsetting. Once the baby is viable outside the womb, it should have rights and it deserves society’s protection.
I learned this because I was willing to listen - to my family, advisors, supporters, and others who shared their perspectives. My promise to myself and to America is that I will continue to listen and incorporate what I learn into my decisions.

If the child is going to kill the mother and die anyway then yes abortion should be a choice for the mothers . It’s called mothers rights and he supports all Americans rights
You need to listen to his entire explanation on the Sage Steele podcast. You heard only a partial statement. He explained in detail..."Every abortion is a tragedy and we need to do everything possible to help bring a baby to term." (paraphrased) Then you can find his clarified statement the next day where he agrees that abortion should only be granted up to when the "baby is viable outside the womb."
You actually didn’t hear him say that because he never said that @danaday. Your feelings about this have clouded your comprehension. It’s a simple thing to not believe in abortion but to also say that the state shouldn’t be regulating women’s bodies. If you knew anything about abortion at all then you would know that a full term abortion is very dangerous and women aren’t out here just wanting full term abortions.
Actually, he never said that at all. So no, you didn't hear him say that. I watched that entire podcast. That subject starts at 1 hour and 4 minutes in, and goes for about 5 minutes. On top of that, his policy was mentioned, which has no legislation proposal for abortion in it. What it is about, it for fewer abortions. The only candidate to actually come up with solutions. You said it yourself; he is very smart. You do know who Angela Stanton King is, right? And Angie's house. Kennedy has an amazing team, and I love this policy.
