Congratulations Derek & to all the deer 🦌 ❤😊You deserve all the best 👍 🎉🎊🥳 I shared your channel in a post, I hope I did it right. I've been trying to share channels for awhile. 😊
It didn't take long for them to figure out how to reach and eat the cracked corn. That was so sweet to watch that little one to catch shade under the table/chair. Congratulations on 500 Derek, you deserve it with your kindness to animals and the smile you give to everyone. Bravo sir.👍👍👍👍👍🥰🥰💓
Isn't that crazy? I wouldn't think the little guy would decide to lay so close in such a confined area. They surprise me at how relaxed they are, I never saw them just laying around out in the open when they were still young before. Hopefully they are female and stick around, I'm curious at how much closer they may get as they grow.
@@wildlifeathome that really is amazing. A passerbyer would think it was a statue if it didn't move. Next thing you know it will be eating your porage and sleeping in your bed!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@critterallywithjohnernest. The first time I realized the fawn was under that table it jumped out and startled me. About ten minuets later it happened again! Now I try to see if it's there before walking past it. One time I was sitting in the chair and it came out, gave my knee a good sniff and walked over to the stump, less afraid of me than the other little fawn!
Yay, congratulations!🎉 Thank you for taking care of these beautiful animals. You are a good and trusting human friend for them. They are lucky to have you! 🎉❤❤
Most of the time they are more nervous around the other deer than they are around me. It started with their mother who I knew for over 13 years, after many of those years chasing her with my camera she learned she could trust me enough to start bringing her fawns around. Have a great weekend! 😊
We have a Doe that brings her babies to us every year to show them off. Even if we are out of town she hangs around the house untill we show up they are always laying near our front porch. We feed them all our scrap veggys etc so they can take their pick, and they love apples the best. If you want to hand feed them cut apples in half before throwing them on the ground and then in the next few nights after throwing some down hold the 1/4 slices out and as they start coming close just drop it on the ground every night draw them closer and closer before you drop them and soon they'll be eating out of your hand. We've had sometimes 18 to 20 all at once, it's not cheap if you have to buy the apples.
I think something is wrong with our deer,😂 I brought six different varieties of apples home one day, cut them up and tossed them on the ground thinking they would love them. After a few nibbles they left them alone and the squirrels ate them! I keep an eye out for different apples, hopefully I'll find the kind they like. I did have one of the fawns take a peanut from me, of all things. They are weird, I've put out watermelon, carrots and many other veggies I've seen other people feed their deer and they just ignore most of it. Many years ago, before so many people moved in around us, the most deer we ever saw was about a dozen. Now it's usually just three doe and their fawns with the rare appearance of a buck or two. Thanks for also loving the deer, I know they bring us a lot of joy.😊
Congratulations Derek on this awesome milestone ! Knowing there are so many wonderful animal-loving folks who have taken your deer family into their hearts is a most beautiful thing ! I'm happy for you, and am proud of your dedication and commitment to providing such supremely uplifting and interesting content that brings happiness & endless smiles. Am looking forward to your continued animal adventures !!
@@myfloridaourplanet.444 Thank you, Marilyn. I'm excited to see how things with the deer evolve over time. This is a newish experience with new deer mothers and their fawns, much different to when Nicky ruled the area. She was also much older than these doe when she began to trust me with any of her fawns, now I've known at least two of the doe since birth.
You stated a very contemplative thought....the experience with the deer is evolving...a work in progress. The new deer have been open to allowing the bond to foster & grow. Are the little fawns being taught trust by their doe mother ? They certainly are keen on following the parental example. This is really a fascinating & eye-opening look into wild deer behavior. Am loving what they reveal....You are blessed Nature Brother !!
@@myfloridaourplanet.444 I'm finding that it isn't always a fawn learning trust from its mother, I think they also read the other deer even if they aren't closely related. Betty and her fawn are a perfect example, her fawn will come right up close and eat from the stump while Betty keeps her distance from me, most of the time. Goldies fawn is almost the exact opposite, coming up close when its mother is already nearby. One of the best things about nature is that it is always a learning experience for those who take the time to actually see what's going on.
Your keen observations are like treasures. And what a treasure chest you have ! The things yet to be learned from these animal teachers is exciting to contemplate ! I glean from your extra info which is so very appreciated. Thank you for sharing the details that make this deer "adventure" so revealing & totally fascinating.
