I'm a British guy living in the US and he definitely IS English. There are so many different dialects in England for as small a place it is. It's like southern or eastern accents that are totally different in the US.
He sounds exactly like the British guy that couldn't get a date from the woman that believed all the stereotypes from movies and tv shows. Not just his "accent" but his voice patterns as well. Didn't sound like he was faking to me. Listen to his choice of words throughout the call. No American faking a British accent is going to say "I'm at the end of my tether" as a saying. His attention to detail with this lie just seems so over the top that he couldn't be making it up.
spot on mate, he sounds like he's from South London - I'm from London :) He uses some phrases that we don't really use anymore but he is legit. She's definitely seen too many films and thinks everyone in the UK have the same accents, which is a ridiculous thing to say that, not all Americans have the same accent.
She watches way too many movies! Thats her problem sitting in front of the tv lonely watching british movies and now she's all judgy and cant tell the real from the fake. The guy wasn't faking it..
My mate to LA for uni or “college” I guess and he came back with this watered down British accent and bare American sounding upward inflections. I got stuck in an irish accent for a month after doing it to death as joke. Peoples accents change slightly when they’re away from the motherland 😅 Either way that guy was a London boy. Sounds like my girlfriends dad 😂
This was funny but obviously all fake. The guy is genuinely British, but an actor they have used before. … British Brian … who wanted a second date with a woman who did not want to go out with a British guy as in her opinion they are all hooligans Plus while he is clearly British, he is trying extra hard to be even more British …. But maybe they do that in the US to get more attention.
His accent is off. I spent six months at RAF Mildenhall and heard accents from all over the kingdom. I spent two years deployed along side the RAF. He is trying to sound like a Londoner and missing it.
Krista P i listen to podcast from people that are british the accent is on top if not a little stronger cause the podcast i listen to they have been in the states for many many years
I am from England and lived there for 34 years. Being inside an air force base does not in any way make someone an expert on the real British people. A couple of hundred people on an airbase is not a fair slice of the 56 million British people who live there. Someone from the south of London sounds totally different from someone from Suffolk which is less than 83 miles away. There is no country in the world that has a different dialect in a region that close except for the United Kingdom.

Just like they say "Can I chat to you?"
I was waiting for him to speak in an American accent LOL

The minute he spoke I thought he was a fake, I’m not from England, but I am from New Zealand- we can identify a fake accent
