Aww thank you. Grandma is the best. Minky is very cute, but she’s very naughty and gets kicked out of the sewing room for attacking my fabric 😹
I always thought you made separates for work! Suits, ugh, bless your heart 😂 You’re so lucky to have Grandma to help! I have to use a my-sized dummy to get it most of the way by myself. It works out. Hubby is useless for fitting. But he has other uses 😊
I have an adjustable dress form that my aunt gave me; I need to read the manual and get her set up so I can use her! Yeah suits are a lot of work. I did buy seersucker when I was in Louisiana last summer, so that needs to become a suit soon.

I love the "waiting for grandma".... I was waiting for that other set of hands and critical to fix things. I finally got !y daughter to say...yeah that side looks weird and so spent today taking off the skirt of a dress that I want to wear for mothers day.
So true! Sewing is much easier when you have additional hands to help out ❤️

Thank you! I wore my Matisse dress to a Matisse exhibit a few months ago! I have a Frida dress that I like wearing to look at art too 😉
Nice save on the tank top! I used that free tank pattern a few years ago for the "Frugal Frocks" challenge. It came out pretty good but I kinda wished it had darts being made in a quilting cotton (even though I'm small busted).
It’s a solid pattern, which I appreciate because it’s free.
I love that teal-blue jacket (not sure if I got the color right). But it “appears” that jacket may go with two of your planned dress fabrics you showed us. Granted, screens can distort color. I like how you sew with big4 patterns. Good luck with your Me Made plans. Going back to finish something that’s been started is always challenging for me. So I’ll be excited to see your fixes completed. Also so kind of you highlighting the free tank.
It’s more turquoise than teal. I don’t know how to adjust the color when I edit; way more technical than I can handle and too much room for errors 🤣. But it does go with a bunch of other things I’m planning to sew. Good luck with your sewing plans too!

2. that’s why I made today a bodice with my own measurements. A few hours past I was successful. I will try to make the sloper in a new fabric to test it again and then I will start to contour the bodice. Then … the sky is the limit!

Hi Silvia! Thanks for your comment. I went through the sloper process back in college with mixed results; then my professor told me the textbook had some errors when it came to the sloper measurements. I haven’t tried it again since then. I probably should 😉

I made that kimono and what I realized was the instructions were confusing but I was sewing it on wrong. Use the other raw edge as the seam. Reverse it.
Thanks for the tip! I will go back and try that. I’m probably sewing it wrong too 🤣
