You should try to plan to be in Belle Fourche, South Dakota some year around the 4th. They have a 4-5 day celebration with rodeos, cattle drive down main street, fireworks on two nights (seriously amazing show!), and one heck of a parade on the 4th (with a B1 bomber flyover to kick it off). It is also the center of the nation, so there is a great museum and monument to view. I promise it would be worth your trip! 🙂
