They didn't realize what was wrong until they'd been driving in the wrong direction for three hours. 😅
So there is another place called Zurich! I was always convinced it was a place outside of the Netherlands until I heard some of my Dutch classmates were from Zurich and felt very stupid that I didn't know it was a Dutch place. But there are two places with that name so I'm not insane after all 😅

Even within the Netherlands, many people don't know it exists; its main claim to fame is that it is near the eastern end of the Afsluitdijk. (If you're curious what the Afsluitdijk is, look it up on Wikipedia, that's easier than me explaining it here!)
The Netherlands had a sizeable population of Swiss refugees somewhere in the early 18th century so I am not surprised. But also names like Austerlitz (started as an army camp named by Napoleonic soldiers as to commemorate the battle), De Krim (Crimea), America and we also have two California's.

I started working at a German restaurant right when I started watching your videos.(I’m not German) And they have honestly helped me tremendously with picking up on the differences in German culture, and the nuances of what exactly they mean when they speak to me 👍👍👍👍
If she is driving, SHE has to fill up😊 When I drive, I fill up!! and nobody else. If I‘m the racer, I do my pitstops by myself! The passenger/copilot has to operate the navi. and if he/she wants, can do me a favor and wipe the windshield, or feed me with cookies, but nothing more.

I once hired a car in Germany. Using the sat nav I was following the guidance wondering why the time to destination wasn't reducing very quickly. Turns out I was misreading hours as minutes, my wife had put in our home address in UK rather than our hotel.
Seriously, this video illustrates why touchscreens in cars are such a bad idea. My daily driver BMW is twenty-six years old and has none of that nonsense, thank goodness.

You navigate using hand gestures or voice control. However, navigating the UI isn't necessary in most cases because these super old cars are powered by an advanced AI that predicts where you want to go next without you having to input anything at all. That's super outdated tech though. Nobody still uses this today, except for those who own one of these super old cars.

And in the UK you'll never need to enter more than 7 symbols plus the house number. For example 1. LL18 1RP will take you to a local pub near to me. My house has address has 1 extra number cos it's over number 10 on its street, but in a totally different town. First 4 digits (sometimes 3) is the area code, second 3 is the street code, and of course the number is the exact building or house. Every property in the UK has its unique postal code. No need to write in the full address. Same with mail. The number and postcode will get your mail to your letterbox in your front door. For non brits open Google maps and input the postcode i gave above to try it.
