- Hello and welcome. Today we take a look at the mighty @TheColtFirearms Anaconda in .44 Magnum. This was my first time shooting a .44 Magnum and I thank my friend Jeff for lending me his Colt Anaconda for this video.
As you know, I'm a bit out of my element with revolvers but I am learning and I learn mostly from practice and from your comments which is my favorite part of hosting this channel. What are your thoughts on this awesome
Colt Anaconda?
Thank you for stopping by and God Bless.

My mom carried the 4” version in her purse for years and years. She moved on as she aged to a 38. I thank her everyday for my appreciation of firearms and the way I grew up.
Nice!
I have the 2021model Anaconda in 8 inch. Love it.
The biggest difference in the new model is that it is a real snake gun with the same trigger and workmanship as the Python. The old version had a coil spring, stacked like crazy and the overall quality and finishing was just not there compared to a Python.
The new Anaconda has all the qualities of the Python in a bigger frame. Made it very easy for me to make the purchase when I saw how much better it really was.
I had one of the 1st generation Anacondas with the 8inch factory vented barrel. I purchased a new 2nd generation Anaconda with a 8inch bbl and must say colt did a better job with 2nd generation especially on the hammer . Accuracy is about equal but timing is improved .
One of the most beautiful guns
Colt's masterpiece
I agree. It is spectacular. Thank you for stopping by.
The 44 Magnum and the 6 "Colt revolver are my favorite pistols!!
This was pretty sweet to shoot. Thank you for stopping by.
Thank you! This vid helped me make the decision between Colt /Ruger/S&W in .44 mag. Not a bad choice in the bunch.
But, I also have the 4” Python that I purchased new when I was much, much younger. But it makes perfect sense to add the 6” Anaconda. The grandkids can sort out which snake they get. 🤷🏻♂️
You’re very welcome. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Glad to see this video. I don't have a 44magnum revolver so I been studying most of them. Your video has convince me to buy the new Anaconda. Lots of good comments about it here and many other sites. Thank you.
You are very welcome. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy this one. Thank you very much for stopping by.
I just picked up a brand new anaconda in 4.25 inch. 😃
Nice!
Loads of fun...
I have the Colt anaconda,8 inch barrel, with the heavier barrel, has less recoil, beautiful weapon..
They are beautiful. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Nice gun, Bruh!
Hi, I did my research before buying this style of revolver. After learning about the metal make up and how many rounds they shot through then (15k rounds in a day) without any defects impressed me a lot. The improvements are a big difference over the older guns. Yes, you will have the loyal first gen gun owners, but over time they will see the differences of improvements. It's amazing what the first gen guns are going for on the market. Unless a first gen gun owner can show the pros and cons between the two revolvers, the prices should come down on the older models. The new revolvers are a vast improvement over the older revolvers.
can you provide a link to where you red about the 15k of rounds shot through the revolver? I'm also intrested.
Watch The colt you tube video on the / anaconda from the colt company. @@357stoitch7
What a powerhouse of a gun! The Pythons get alot of the love and rightfully so, but no matter which generation you have w/the Anaconda, you get both the great looks in build & design, and a caliber that knows how to punch. 👍👍
Well said. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Enjoyed your presentation and it was done very well. Are you sure that the Anaconda comes included with a picatinny rail ? I have purchased one and it did not come with one.
Ricky from IBM
@@k4vms It doesn't.
Beautiful piece. Liked how you can tell the barrel lengths by vented ribs on snake guns.
Smith came out with a 44 magnum in 1955 or so. Ruger had the super Blackhawk and I believe it debuted in the mid 50’s as well. 😊
Its the best.
That is one powerful handgun! Nice shooting, especially on the first six.
It was a lot of fun to shoot. Thank you very much for stopping by.
@@MDpolo You're welcome. My pleasure.
What is that gold sticker or badge?🤔 oops, never mind you explained it.😉
Amazing looks. I would love to see a comparison of the DA of a new Manurhin MR93 or 73.
Very nice video. Came to validate my purchase, haha. What ear pro are you wearing? I like their profile.
It’s definitely a step up from the old ones
I never shot the 2nd generation Anaconda. Shot the 1st generation. From memory it was a great shooting firearm. I'm sure this one give grea performance as well.

As great as this gun is ,I always and still do like, the blued model , four inch or six inch 29 Smith better. And it's nothing to do with movies. I just like the way the Smith is made better. A classic all around amazing revolver.Using 44 special for defense or the wide range of 44 mag for defense and hunting, that gun is an all around classic. But same as the Colt here too. I just like the Smith better.
Older smith's had the best bluing. A pistol is a tool, but a revolver is a work of art. Too many younger folks don't get that, buts that's OK. More revolvers for me.
It's funny.....people end up making things out to be "more than they are" e.g. tghe power of a 44 Mag round....or even the 500 Mag....yet it ends up being "controllable"...yougot several rounds in the orange :)) Wasn't like you totally missed the target :))) Have you fired the 500 Mag yet? :))
Yes I have and you can find the video in my channel library. Thank you very much for stopping by.
What’s the price ?
It’ll depend on your location but for me it’s almost $1500.
@@MDpolo thank you
Sorry, zi went to buy a gun. They said no.
Bu silahın fiyatı nedir? Bir tane almak istiyorum 👍👍👍
It’s a difficult question to answer it because it’ll depend on your location. Anywhere in between $1000 and $1600 would be my guess.
