Great video. Related to checklists and avoiding decision overload are routines; something that really works for me is keeping a consistent kit list and setup process for similar shoots and events, even if that means bringing slightly more kit.
The more you drill the same packing routine, setup and derig, the faster you get and the more you can do on autopilot. I might bring something I only need 85% of the time, but doing it as part of a routine is still faster and less mentally taxing than trying to figure out whether I'll need it or not.
Absolutely killer advice too. Most of my jobs are overseas and this is really close to how we do it.
This guy is a genuine master.
Wise advice. 😊👍
Thanks! 🙂
I don't have 8 mins. Tell me, the secret is to have many tiny compartments inside my gear case?
Then watch it when you have 8 min to watch
@@tigran3409 It's just a joke. 🤷♂️
This advice is spot on and extremely valuable. Thanks much for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing tips here! You are so right about checklists and mark how many bags/cases. Thank you!
What lens/camera/filter are you filming this with? It looks amazing.
This video stands out as a prime example of professional-grade content that is often missing from many creators' channels. It's rare to find such high-quality, insightful content from solo creators. The video is excellent, and the channel is impressive, offering very valuable tips and educational material.
This is such a helpful video!
Hey man, which city are you in? I am moving to the US hopefully at the end of the year and I am still researching a middle sized city to start in not to be overwhelmed by a big city like New york or Los Angeles. Hope to hear from you :)
I'd think about San Diego or Portland, Oregon. Both smaller and still close enough to the action.
@@Crimsonengine thanks a lot! What about Atlanta and or Albuquerque? Do you have information about those cities? I heard they are affordable and have a good filmmaking community there
Cheers pal.
