For his contribution to the development of St. Petersburg sports, the Order of Vyacheslav Platonov No. 37 was awarded to Boris Alexandrovich Kantorovich, president of the Avtomobilist volleyball club.
For his personal contribution to the development of Russian sports, the Order of Vyacheslav Platonov No. 38 was awarded to Yuri Petrovich Panchenko - Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, Olympic champion, world champion, 5-time European champion, 9-time USSR champion, 3-time winner of the USSR Cup, 6-time winner of the European Cup (1982, 1983, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989) and two times winner of the European Super Cup (1987 and 1988).
