  • The naval pilots of these helicopters got in trouble for these splashdowns, but how else were they supposed to pick up chicks at Lake Tahoe?

This was all on this evenings news 9/25 (Sacramento News 3) The pilots of both helis are grounded after attempting to photograph each other with Emerald Bay (south Lake Tahoe) in the back ground. Pilots were basically screwing around with Multi Million Dollar un-authorized equipment. They were returning from Mater Air show that weekend.

"The Navy has requested $453.2 million to procure six MH-60Rs in FY 2004, as well as $46.5 million for advance procurement for future years."*
I don't know how you add it up but, I get:
    $90,533,333
    * Navy League of The United States.
If you know differently please site references.
Price tags don't mean much bc it's lifetime cost of operation :$10 BILLION!

@viperatl We spend far more providing subsidies to oil companies and banks. You have unions to thank for things like 8 hr work days, child labor laws, etc, you know, useless stuff socialist like that :)

This ia where our tax dollars are going. To punks flying million dollar helicopters. Aren't there supposed to be military monitoring of what their aircrafts are doing via radar or sonar?
