How do I backup, if a key gets lost or destroyed?
Can I use it with windows, Linux, iOS on 7 different gadgets the same time ?

@@muctop17 yes, as long as you have the correct key. If all are USB-C you can use same key for everything. Otherwise, you need to obtain correct key for each hardware like USB-A or older Apple devices. Look at series 5 Yubikeys: www.yubico.com/store/.
Note there is a 5Ci model that does USB-C and older Apple Lightning.
You should have a minimum of 2 or keys in case you lose one. Most accounts that allow security keys usually allow at least 2 keys that are recognized by the account as a second factor.

There is no recovery, so you need to have a backup key. (I have two backup keys.) Yes, you can use a security key on all modern OSes and smartphones. Generally you connect via USB (A or C), but NFC is also an option for smartphones too.

Yes, Yubikeys by Yubico. Yubico Series 5. www.yubico.com/products/ Purchase according to what type of USB connection you have on your computer or phone. USB-A, USB-C, even combination of usb-c/lightning that can be used both ways if you have an older iPhone or iPad or computers/tablets with usb-c.
