Well done. Why not the 16 x 15 with the ZZ6? might have got close to 40 MPH footin'
💯 the 16x15 would have been a better choice for speed but not 40. It probably would have ended up around 38. 16x16-17 would get it 40+ and I believe the ZZ6 could get it done at the low end also. At the end of the day we just flat run out of time and can’t test all scenarios…….even though I want to.
Hey @n3boatworks nice review. Looking at a late arrival 2022 ZS232 that a local dealer has. Will this engine/prop setup do me well with full ballast (4900lbs)? We are at sea level: GM Marine Freshwater Cooled L96 6.0L/409lb4-Blade Prop Acme 282916x15..... Thanks!
We believe upgrading to the HD prop (16x13) will be be the ticket for getting the L96 into its power band.
We have a centurion ri230 with the 409 and the 16x15 prop at sea level. No problems full ballast ad 10 people.
