- It's time to start preparing for Lightbox Expo! This video covers 3 lessons I learned from attending Lightbox Expo and CTN. It's important to prepare in advance, share your work online and connect with as many people as you can to better improve your overall experience. I will make another video closer to Lightbox providing insights on how to navigate the conference and best ways to maximize your time.
Tips
1) Post a New Portfolio before the conference you're attending
2) Connect and Follow everyone you can online
3) Make the best impression so you can get hired after the conference!

EXTREMELY helpful. I like how you keep it simple, to the point, and chill. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
Thank you! I'm stoked you found it helpful. I plan to make more videos similar to this and cover my whole art journey. Cheers!
What’s up Maurits! Very insightful video man, I had a question about your first point. When you mention making a animatic, do you mean one edited animatic of one of your story sequences with music/sfx like you shared in your last video, or more like a minute or two long demo reel showing shots of some of your sequences? Looking forward to the next vid man!
Hey Armin! Glad you liked the video and thank you for watching!
I mean the former. So make a full storyboard sequence that is edited, drawings are timed out, some voice acting (you won't be deducted points for this, just do your best), and add some basic sfx and music. It really helps go a long way and shows you are willing to learn all aspects of the process!
@@maurits_valkawesome that’s good to know, I just made one very recently! thanks for the response!!
