Your videos are so real! The beautiful scenery of China is indeed fascinating. China has the most amazing Civic Infrastructures and cheap Civic Services Their public transport is second to none. Their Bullet Trains between Cities, theirdriverless RoboCabs, EV's everywhere replacing the combustion vehicles, fast chargingstations, their internet is super fast with fast 5G EVERYWHERE in China.China is one of the safest country in the world for traveling.
One hand holds a Chinese style fan, the other holds an Western style umbrella, in the same day you guys experiencing a rainy time and a sunny time at the nearly same place, what an excellent show of your brilliant mindset and the rich diversity of our societies! Thank you beautiful people!
When I was working in Shanghai 12 years ago, my office was right in the heart of the city. I visited some of the most expensive restaurants and hotels, but the new ones are even fancier and pricier. I remember going to the restaurant on the 101st floor of the financial center tower, where it cost us over $1,000 for six people-and we didn’t even order much. Today, it would probably cost over $2,000.
It really cracked me up when Naomi said in the video, 'Perhaps we can have a cup of coffee in here?' to which Luke replied, 'Absolutely not, you're out of your mind.'
In fact, if we calculate based on purchasing power parity (PPP), China's GDP is larger than that of the United States, making it the true number one economy in the world. As China's financial center, a significant amount of wealth is naturally concentrated in Shanghai!
Always like how you two talk to each other in front of the camera, conversations are so smooth, just like you two are twins and know what's in each others' minds. Lol, lovely!
It's almost late Autumn, but from what they've described, Shanghai is still very hot, which sounded like weather in September. So not sure whether any recommendations are of any use. In real time (as of now), they can possibly be already out of China.
@@HamiltonMcDonald-bw9pk I'd go to Harbin and Yakutsk to experience the real monster (haven't been tho). Probably a death wish if not well prepared haha.
In England, showing how rich and posh you are may not always be perceived as a good thing. I've learnt that from watching a show called "Keep Up Appearances" very interesting sitcom about the remnants of the old and dying social class tiers and circles and it even in some way mocks the RP accent.
Maybe one of the most expensive cities, but compared to the recent places I travelled to, Dublin, Zurich etc Shanghai is so affordable, nice hotels and food with low price
Lovely couple and video. Will upload a complete walkthrough of this hotel and our room. It is my opinion one of the finest (architecturally speaking) designs of any hotel. We have stayed in some of the best properties in the world, from Cote d' Azur to Dubai and this hotel is just fantastic. We tried every single one of the restaurants in the hotel, including the one you just showcased and they were all fantastic. Shanghai has some amazing restaurants and bars.
Very good video👍 one thing that you might want to know, In general, Puxi is traditionally richer than Pudong, especially in some old urban areas such as Huangpu District, Xuhui District, Jing'an District and Changning District, where many of Shanghai's historic financial institutions, business districts and luxury residential areas are gathered.
I went to explore Shanghai Center Tower too last Sunday. Massive and fancy. I got excellent views of both banks of the Huangpu River from 119th floor. Everything such as the TV tower became dwarf. The only issue is the uncomfortable feelings in my ears brought by the super fast lift. Overrall, Shanghai Center Tower is crazy and really worth visiting.
The main reason why super-fast elevators make ears uncomfortable is the change in air pressure. As the elevator moves up and down quickly, the surrounding air pressure changes rapidly. The Eustachian tube in the ear usually regulates the pressure balance between the inner and outer ears, but when the air pressure changes rapidly, it may not be able to keep up, resulting in blocked ears, swelling and pain, and even temporary hearing loss.
The skyscrapers in Shanghai have their own characteristics, and Shanghai's urban construction area is particularly large. The skyscrapers in Shenzhen and Hong Kong are more densely populated, similar to those in New York.
One interesting things in SH to see would be 1,000 Trees complex at 600 Moganshan Road in Putuo District. It is a very unusual complex along Suzhou Creek.Near the M50 Art district. Actually the view of the complex from across the creek is the best.
Welcome to Shanghai! it’s unusually raining in the fall season. If you will stay for few more days in Shanghai, i would suggest you citywalk in Puxi, like Hunan road, Nanchang Road, Fuxing Road. or you can explore more the Huang Pu river starting from Start (111 Rui ning Road) where you can walk towards south along the river. you will find interesting spots. these place are fee access. Actually shanghai is not that expensive. the place you went we don’t normally visit as the locals😅 Hope you enjoy the time in SH.
Pudong is nice and new, but also kind fo sterile. Puxi has a lot of old money and much more character. The former French concession area is great for strolls and feeling the vibe of the city.
I reside in Los Angeles, most of my friends and colleagues still insist that the Chinese government “tucked those homeless people under the rugs”…. Sigh….😢
I know a lot of people in LA, sold their houses and moved to Malaysia. Because the California government hired a large number of homeless people to take over LA-it’s not livable anymore. What does any of this have to do with the Chinese government? Absolutely nothing.😂
This is actually the new CBD of Shanghai where not many local people live there. They all live on another side of river, called Pu Xi (west bank) where will see old Shanghai neighbourhoods: alley ways of century old houses, townhouses, parks, pubs, restaurants, corner cafes, European style groceries & bakeries …a friendly reminder, never ever stay in a hotel room without a window again please! It’s extremely dangerous in a fire emergency ‼️
I just love Luke's remarks "are you out of your mind" haha. Typical rich people's lifestyle. They can burn almost 300 Euros just for afternoon tea/coffee. Edit: Ah, so Naomi has social anxiety.
Another great video as usual🎉 I like your advice about getting your poor asses into rich places🎉. Are you psychology like that all my life. If you ask someone in the most sincere way could you help me. Instinctually inside they will want to. Also giving your name introducing yourself handshakes. Is humanizes you. Lake Simon Wilson I've got into so many places for free it's not even funny just by being polite and kind of going around the peripheral LOL. I once walked into a LA Auto Show that was at a hotel that they were charging with the door I simply asked if I could go into the hotel and then took the elevator into the show🎉 Simon Wilson would have been proud😁
Old Shang Hai Pu Xi was the British Concession b4 , chinese people could do the business at day and must left at night. How ironic yeah, chinese people couldn't stay at their own place in their own country. It was a huge humilation of china. we kept the old and build the New Shang Hai Pudong face to face, seem like saying to all the intruders, come again if u dare!
