It looks like Brian May didn’t care either, which was why he gave his wholehearted compliments to this unique and unbelievable singer. Kudos well-deserved. Actually, Dimash did some of his best performances ever on Singer. Every song on every episode was pretty marvelous!
Adam, DIMASH is hands down the best vocalist in the world today! I saw him in concert at the Barclays Center here in NYC last December and he sounds just as unbelievably amazing live as he does in videos! I was still rather new to Dimash when I listened to his rendition of this classic. I wasn't sure if he could do it... I'd heard too many covers that left me with an unsatisfied feeling inside. But this just blew me away. I mean, I was open-mouthed. His delivery was fantastic! It's been more than two years and I'm still amazed when I watch this. Incredible, that's what he is. Thank heavens he was born in my lifetime.

Here Dimash is 22, with whole life ahead interpreting different emotions and giving his own meaning to the song.✌He can't experience the same feelings what Mr. Mercury was going through at that point of time. If Mr. Mercury had performed it at same age as Dimash he would have done it differently👍👍

Спасибо за отличный коммент, но люблю точность, в течении конкурса I am Singer 2017, который завершился в апреле Димашу было еще 22 года. Уже после конкурса 24 мая Димашу исполнилось 23 года. Свой День рождения Димаш отмечал в Китае, так как был подписан контракт с кит. компанией.

I really enjoy your reactions. It is great to see someone being able to truly appreciate all the facets of a great performance. I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my UA-cam recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. I came across your channel, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence. You have only begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him. From what I gathered, Dimash is from a very musical family and started singing and piano lessons at the age of five when he was found to have perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical master’s class and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition; his thesis was titled: "Personal Image of Traditional Music". He graduated with Honours, achieving a perfect score of 100%. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. as he wants to teach music after his singing career. Dimash has diligently honed his craft and developed his God-given gift for more than 20 years now and it shows. I read somewhere that Dimash used to swim 3 hours every day to increase his lung capacity. It's not just raw natural talent but tremendous work, dedication, and discipline to achieve this level of performance. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a much-loved national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He was even offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn. Dimash also plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. During his live concerts, he usually performs for more than two hours and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles. His range is about 7 octaves now and spans across all registers from a rich bass-baritone through to an extremely high soprano and whistle register. He has even hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. It has been recognized that his high notes are usually not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it’s spectacular. However, Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it.
This wasn’t my fav from Dimash initially as I was distracted by the pronunciation and musical differences from Queen. But over time, I listened just to Dimash without any layers of expectation and found I really liked and appreciated this cover. Covers are always hard especially in another language. Dimash deserves all respect for his stunning talent and musical genius.

Relatively new Dear here, watching all your Dimash reactions. I've watched many reactors, but find your comments very relatable and interesting. Try LOVE IS LIKE A DREAM (Moscow version, you'll know its the right one if he's wearing a maroon-colored, velvet jacket) to hear his low vocal fry, then contrast that to UNFORGETTABLE DAY (must be Gakku version) to hear his highest recorded note, a D8 whistle tone off the piano. LOVE OF TIRED SWANS and AUTUMN STRONG are both lovely. I assume you'll be watching with your dad OPERA 2 and OLIMPICO (also known as OGNI PIETRA, check out other Dears' suggestions for which version of this) and TI AMO COSI (with Lara Fabian & Aida Garifullina). Did you notice how much better his English pronunciation has become in the last few years? The version of THE SHOW MUST GO ON that you watched was from 2017, and ACROSS ENDLESS DIMENSIONS was 2020.

Меня очень затронула история создания этой песни, и я даже написала статью для Алга Петербург, включившую краткую биографию Фредди Меркьюри и подробный анализ исполнения песни Димашем на 3 туре. Спасибо за отличный коммент, но люблю точность, в течении конкурса I am Singer 2017, который завершился в апреле Димашу было еще 22 года. Уже после конкурса 24 мая Димашу исполнилось 23 года. Свой День рождения Димаш отмечал в Китае, так как был подписан контракт с кит. компанией.

I really enjoy your reactions. It is great to see someone being able to truly appreciate all the facets of a great performance. I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my UA-cam recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. I came across your channel, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence.
You have only begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him.
From what I gathered, Dimash is from a very musical family and started singing and piano lessons at the age of five when he was found to have perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical master’s class and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition; his thesis was titled: "Personal Image of Traditional Music". He graduated with Honours, achieving a perfect score of 100%. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. as he wants to teach music after his singing career.
Dimash has diligently honed his craft and developed his God-given gift for more than 20 years now and it shows. I read somewhere that Dimash used to swim 3 hours every day to increase his lung capacity. It's not just raw natural talent but tremendous work, dedication, and discipline to achieve this level of performance. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a much-loved national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He was even offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far.
He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn. Dimash also plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. During his live concerts, he usually performs for more than two hours and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles.
His range is about 7 octaves now and spans across all registers from a rich bass-baritone through to an extremely high soprano and whistle register. He has even hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. It has been recognized that his high notes are usually not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it’s spectacular. However, Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it.

I think when I hear dimash sing I can,t forget all the people who have helped to make Dimash the singer he is.
This wasn’t my fav from Dimash initially as I was distracted by the pronunciation and musical differences from Queen.
But over time, I listened just to Dimash without any layers of expectation and found I really liked and appreciated this cover.
Covers are always hard especially in another language.
Dimash deserves all respect for his stunning talent and musical genius.

Relatively new Dear here, watching all your Dimash reactions. I've watched many reactors, but find your comments very relatable and interesting. Try LOVE IS LIKE A DREAM (Moscow version, you'll know its the right one if he's wearing a maroon-colored, velvet jacket) to hear his low vocal fry, then contrast that to UNFORGETTABLE DAY (must be Gakku version) to hear his highest recorded note, a D8 whistle tone off the piano. LOVE OF TIRED SWANS and AUTUMN STRONG are both lovely. I assume you'll be watching with your dad OPERA 2 and OLIMPICO (also known as OGNI PIETRA, check out other Dears' suggestions for which version of this) and TI AMO COSI (with Lara Fabian & Aida Garifullina). Did you notice how much better his English pronunciation has become in the last few years? The version of THE SHOW MUST GO ON that you watched was from 2017, and ACROSS ENDLESS DIMENSIONS was 2020.
