Thank you. Looking to solder charms onto my bracelet (old school bracelet) and this looks so straight forward. I’ll give it a go!
Great! Hope it went well!
Thank you Amy for your post. It helped me a lot. I am an old school solderer, still using an iron & flux. Glad to see things have moved on. I do have a torch, so will now invest in some silver solder paste!..xx
I did not know I needed this solder paste in my life. Will make small sections so much easier than trying to position a solder chip.
Thanks Aimee for the video..just purchase the hard solder paste and this video was just what i needed.
Great!
Have recently purchased the 9ct white gold version of this paste. Found this video before I started and after watching, felt confident enough to jump in and have a go. Thank you for the tips, realy helped. Great product and cant recomend cookson enough :)
Simon Pearson I'm so glad this helped you Simon!! :-) Thank you very much for commenting, it's wonderful isn't it?
Thank you, have purchased this today. Not feeling so apprehensive about using it now 🙂👍
I got a small fright at the end, when your little doggies head was showing, I thought it was a strange human head.. Great Video as well, I'm researching and found this very helpful :-)
Thanks Aimee, brilliant review!

Informative video, I actually sell this stuff but never seen it used before believe it or not
Happy we could help :)
Great review, thank you. I've found it very useful to use a broken saw blade to apply the paste, (and who doesn't have those?) Steve
whats the liquid you put it in?
hi, what do you use for ventilation so you are not exposed to the fumes?
Hi Shauna, we have a selection of items on our site that will help: www.cooksongold.com/Jewellery-Tools/-Range=Dust_and_Fume_Extraction/-Size=0/-Type=0/-Brand=0/-Font=0/&prdsearch=y
can you weld a broken dolphin bracelet that way thanks
Hi, This silver solder paste syringe is quick and easy to use, making it convenient for small soldering jobs. The 10g silver solder paste syringe works best for wire work soldering jobs and small repairs. Silver solder paste works in 'soldering' pieces together as apposed to 'welding' and will be effective at repairing jewellery pieces including bracelets.
That "smoke" is very toxic, wear protection or better yet, make sure you have good ventilation!!
What mask do you wear during soldering as we know there's so many toxic chemicals released .It's hard to find the best one.
Will the soldering mask be also good for sanding silver?
Oh, you didn't put a mask on!!! Or is it only because of making of this video?
Thank you.
It's a great idea to wear a mask when any kind of chemicals are involved, carefully read the manufacturers info and guidelines before you select a mask to use. Additionally good ventilation is a must! A dust mask is good for sanding.
I could not see you tablet clearly at the end. fyi.
