Tybw Uryu low diff, no anti-thesis need, with A, 0 diff. Just compare their feat and statement. Byakuya & zaraki & toshiro couldn't even fight Gérard valkyrie final form anymore, they were all dominated. Uryu could do 1 vs 1 against jugram A > Gérard valkyrie final form ~ yhwach base; and this for several hours, after he could still fight base jugram for several minutes! No, base uryu is definitely at the level of SHIKAI ICHIGO >>> byakuya.
I will be the first to say I'm a massive Uryu fan but I wanted to talk about some theories I have (not to say I'm the first to think this but I didn't take this from anyone else). First of all I believe that the antithesis IS something that Uryu always had but was kind of dormant power. My point of view is that all of the Quincy have their schrift as an innate ability (if they have the potential in the first place to have a schrift because that IS stated to be predetermined) and Yhwach just unlocks it (or its unlocked by themselves like Royd and Lloyd). The reason I say this is because Yhwach mentions the reason Uryu lived through his Auswahlen at 9 years old is because there is something special about him. He then says "something within you that surpasses my own power". Why would he say this like it was always there if it didn't exist before Uryu drank Yhwach's blood? You could argue that Uryu's grandfather did something to save him from Yhwach and Kubo did say MAYBE they might show more about Uryu's grandfather in the anime and we might actually know 100% whether antithesis was an innate thing or if Uryu was saved by his grandfather's ability or something. But again the statement from Yhwach is super weird to me if hes not referring to Uryu somehow having/using the antithesis at a young age to save himself/counter the Auswahlen. The next part of my theory is gonna be WAYYY more of a reach but I'm gonna explain anyway. It has to do with Uryu's flashback and what his grandfather said to him about the sanrei glove. I think its 100% fair to say that both his father and Grandfather knew Yhwach was coming back (after the anime showed what it did) and if we go into Uryu's flashback it starts off right after Mayuri straight up tells the audience Uryu is a genius. The chapter directly after this one that shows this massive Uryu flashback is literally called "Insanity & Genius" and yet in this chapter It shows Uryu's father berating him for taking interest in being a Quincy and spending time with his grandfather. He says "I'm not interested in Quincies. And you don't have the talent for it anyway." Mayuri is not the type to lie about calling Uryu a Genius especially when the dialogue about how out of the 2661 he has studied not even one of them could perform even a part of ransotengai is literally all inside Mayuri's own head. The only thing he says out loud to Uryu is "Are you what they call... ...A Genius?" So we have a couple options here. Either Ryuken is lying directly to Uryu's face by saying he has no talent for being a Quincy or the talent he's referring to isn't as straight forward as the talent Mayuri and both Yhwach refer to in the series. I would go with the latter because in the same flashback Ryuken, when asked by Uryu why he hates the Quincies so much answers, "Because there is no profit in them." You have a couple options with what Ryuken says here. He actually means Being a Quincy doesn't put money on the table for his family, He doesn't mean profit in the sense of money but in the sense of well being/things like that, or my answer of choice which is both. I think if you take a look at both of these statements from Ryuken that take place in the same exact flashback its consistent for both of his answers to be not as direct as they seem. Moving onto the part where Uryu goes to his grandfather and his grandfather explains and even defends Ryuken it starts off with Soken saying "well he does have a point" and addressing what Ryuken said as if he literally meant he cant provide for his family if he takes up being a Quincy. Then we see a flashback of Soken saying to Uryu "what you think is right depends on what you want to protect. That's how people are." Uryu responds with "What does dad want to protect? His money?" Soken responds with "You'll find out in Time. And when you do you'll know what you want to protect too." To me this is Soken saying Ryuken wants to protect Uryu from the Quincies and Yhwach in specific. Soken than says "Uryu, For when that time comes... I'm entrusting you with this." And its the sanrei glove and basically the letz stil. Soken goes onto say "You'll eventually learn what your father cares about the most. When you find out what you truly want to protect.. and if you still wish to walk the path of a Quincy... You will face a battle you cannot avoid. A battle beyond your abilities. A time will come when you will have to sacrifice yourself. When it comes, use this." To me this is blatantly foreshadowing Yhwach and if Uryu learns about Yhwach (like he does in the tybw anime) and has something to protect from him (his friends) and still wishes to walk the path of a Quincy he will face a battle he cannot avoid (Yhwach and the prophecy) and that battle will be beyond his abilities. To me all of this leads into the fact Uryu's grandfather was subtly telling Uryu about Yhwach and if he wants to fight Yhwach then he will need the sanrei glove. This along with Yhwach's statement about Uryu surviving the Auswahlen because Uryu has something that surpasses his own power even at 9 years old.... Adds up to Letz stil being easily tybw Uryu if not stronger actually. I know I basically typed out the entire Uryu flashback of chapter 124 with adlibs but yeah. I think this supports my belief that sanrei glove Uryu is narratively implied to be able to beat/match Yhwach because Soken says he will have to sacrifice himself (debatably only his Quincy powers but maybe his life too) but this still implies he would be able to stop Yhwach if he sacrificed himself against him. One last thing is how its emphasized by Quilge Opie that Soken Ishida was the only one holding onto the idea of the letz stil while the rest of the Quincy moved onto the Vollstandig. Having emphasis put on the idea that Soken is for some reason attached to the letz stil feels like it heavily supports my theory Soken thought the letz stil would be important in defeating/stopping Yhwach. Especially when its implied at the end of the manga Soken was a past sternritter who left Yhwach because he couldn't agree with his ideals and he knew of Yhwach's true plan. To add onto this Yhwach's phrasing (which supports kubo's explanation of schrifts) when talking about Uryu's power is "You have some kind of power that exceeds my own." He talks about the antithesis as something Uryu possesses, has always possessed, and is HIS OWN power. You could say this is consistent because every Quincy's power comes from him and eventually returns to him so its theirs's temporarily but then will eventually become his. But I still think Uryu is an exception because in Cfyow Its stated that Ryuken and Uryu are probably the only two Quincy's left after Yhwach's defeat that can still use Vollstandig/kept all their powers. This could mean Soken somehow cut off His own bloodline from Yhwach's and Uryu's powers are truly his own. Yhwach unlocked that power but he cant take it away the same way he could with other Quincies.
You'd have to have pre bankai Ichigo levels of characters for a fight with 7ds characters anything after that is kinda too much for the verse outcluding maybe Arthur (idk ) and some of the commandment stuff
Let’s steel being stronger than most late series characters I’m okay with it. I don’t know how to spell anything. The Quincy angel mode is stated to be weaker but efficient than the letz steel and he was using what The Jail Quincy and ywach did , that instead of a small portion of reishi to create arrows and weapons they ripped all reishi base forms, house, living being, the ground, and made it submit to them increasing their weapons constructs and power and uryu had that big ass arrow wing too. So with the letz steel and if uryu is able to handle the power he could potentially have a infinite amount of reishi as he keep absorbing the area for more power and if byakuya isn’t focusing he could lose paddles to uryu forever (until TYBW) weakening his bankai . Now I’m not power scaling I’m saying what should happen. And like any captain pride I don’t think byakuya would just run admitting defeat to a lonely 16 year old human
You should do Byakuya in the fullbring arc or post soul palace byakuya vs aizen when he fought the gotei 13 since it's implied that at least byakuya and renji trained to fight someone as strong as aizen
Byakuya just with his reiatsu could render this version of Ishida completely unable to harm him. He barely drawed against Mayuri, got stomped by Szayelapporo, and overall really hasn't shown the level of strength beyond a vice captain. What's Ishida gonna do against Senbonzakura? Even people like Tsukishima and Ichigo got smacked with that, with the later being rendered near incapacitated and the former outright killed.....this is a bad matchup. Arrows and even Vollstandig ain't enough for this guy, you need spiritual pressure. The Letz isn't nearly enough. Unless Ishida can bring 3, 4, 5X Bankai level attacks, Kuchiki would outlast him, but all it takes is getting hit by Gokai once and you're done. Ishida doesn't have the durability. You're going to need end series Ishida. Mayuri has seen Yama. Are you saying Yama in Bankai isn't stronger than Ishida? Wtf? Why wouldn't Senbonzakura not be able to damage him? Are you serious? The man with the scarf is gonna Bankai and then it'll be over. An arrow isn't gonna destroy millions of blades, this is the worse matchup for this version of Ishida, he'd have the same issue Zommari had, he can't deal with every single blade in the sky even if he started launching arrows all over the place, he's gonna get surrounded, and then he's gonna get one shotted If he doesn't die, Kuchiki can use kido to restrain him. Come on.........you're trying to get this Quincy killed. The issue here isn't that this version of Ishida can't harm the captain of the sixth division, it's that he can't afford to fight him. Glass cannon vs tank? The tank wins as soon as he lands a blow, but this version of Ishida isn't fast enough to hit the captain, a man that kept up with Bankai Ichigo casually and Yoruichi. I know you're not going to say this Ishida can catch this Byakuya with his speed. You gotta aim and fire, you can't hit what you can't see

You're either an Uryu hater or a Byakuya fanboy (or both lol) Mayuri himself implied he had never seen that amount of reiatsu when Uryu removed his glove. Let's analyze what he'd seen before that: He felt Zaraki's reiatsu without eyepatch (since he's the one who created the eyepatch afterall), he felt Kisuke's reiatsu, heck, he even felt shikai Yamamoto's reiatsu before that. It means that Letzt Stil Uryu was stronger that all of the above. Tousen didn't edo anything? we've seen tousen and gin shitting on Barragan in the flashback lol. Also Uryu was as good as a normal soul in that state since he had lost all of his quincy powers. Uryu takes this fight 8/10

Meanwhile, Ichigo easily broke that demention just by activating his bankai. Uryu didn't suffer a single scratch from Ichigo's activasion (which means his durability is higher than that demension, something that Byakuya + Zaraki + Toshiro weren't able to damge it) So yeah. Uryu is high-captain tier in Fullbring arc. HM arc is different however.

The crazy part is uryu against mayuri, he was heavily poisoned, when he entered letz schil. Imagine uryu at 100% letz and no poison.

Mayuri himself implied he had never seen that amount of reiatsu when Uryu removed his glove. Let's analyze what he'd seen before that: He felt Zaraki's reiatsu without eyepatch (since he's the one who created the eyepatch afterall), he felt Kisuke's reiatsu, heck, he even felt shikai Yamamoto's reiatsu before that. It means that Letzt Stil Uryu was stronger that all of the above.

Meanwhile, Ichigo easily broke that demention just by activating his bankai. Uryu didn't suffer a single scratch from Ichigo's activasion (which means his durability is higher than that demension, something that Byakuya + Zaraki + Toshiro weren't able to damge it)
So yeah. Uryu is high-captain tier in Fullbring arc.
HM arc is different however.
