Hiking the Koko Head Crater, Oahu

- This is really one of the iconic hikes you can do if you visit Oʻahu. I would say an average person need two or three hours to finish the hike. You will have a fantastic view from the top of the crater.
The crater is at an elevation of 642 feet, and the tuff ring around it goes up to 1,207 feet. The tramway was built during World War II by the military.
It is a fun and popular hike to do, just make sure you bring plenty of water. I have seen many people suffer because they did not bring enough to drink.

I still haven’t done Koko head. I prefer ocean so I like Kaena Point Coastal hike. I would love to take you to Marine Corp beaches and anything military access. Any weekend! You got to see Pyramid Rock Beach, you cross two runways to get to it on Marine Corps Kaneohe Bay base

I will be in Honolulu mid Jan. There is also a possibility I will be there in Dec, but not decided yet.
