CAR 54 WAS A GREAT SHOW BACK in THE 1960s AND FRED GWENNE WAS HERMAN MUNSTER in THE MUNSTERS AND HE WAS A GREAT ACTOR AND i HAVE series ONE AND TWO ON DVD AND it WAS A VERY FUNNY COMEDY SHOW BACK in 1962 REST in PEACE FRED GWYNN YOU WERE A VERY FUNNY COMEDY ACTOR 😔
Hilarious episode. So many twists and turns in the plot. I especially like the parallel with the movie in which Alec Guinness has wives in different ports. The writers took a movie idea and expanded it into a wholly insane series of situations.
One of the funniest. I can remember when Car 54 was on TV, but I was a very little kid and so don't remember much. Still, it was one the first shows I can remember watching on TV. For that reason, it always stuck with me. Kind of cool to watch these old episodes now.
I was born in the Bronx and lived there with my parents and brother until 1970. Toody's apartment reminds me very much of my parents' apartment. Especially the sofa and the lamp on the table!
😂,absolute classic comedy,so so ,funny cleverly written superbly played by brilliant comedy actors ,laughter is the best medicine , never laughed so much , thank you car 54, brilliant ,❤😂
Anyone notice the similarity in the voices of Ruth Masters as Mrs. Muldoon, Francis's mother and Edith Massey as Cuddles Kovinsky in the John Waters film "Polyester"?
The "fainting"was hilarious....such fun good actors....a GEM of a show....
Terrific sound effects! That thumping when they fall is great!! ha ha!!

Tight, clever, extremely well-written comedy. Hilarious deliveries by the actors. More laughs here than in most half-hour sit-coms.
I gave up on t v sit coms years ago.........
So enjoy the older shows, thank you.
And it hold up more than 60 years later, better than ever!

This show must set a record for faints. People don't faint like they use too.
Ooo...ooo...
"That was the first time in our married life that she did what I asked!" ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
i LAUGHED AT GUNTHER WHEN HE said DOODY WHEN it's DEUTY 🤔
Ive been watching this show since i was a kid im 68 now .😊
The running joke with everyone fainting was wonderful!
As a new yorker i get some of the references.
"he had Gunthers eyes..."

Why didn't the captain arrest that guy for punching toody? Assaulting a police officer is no laughing matter.
this is like what day is it . toody doesn't know which subway to take.
Have you ever seen a NYC Subway map?I've seen eye charts that make better sense.
But remember, Toody is the bright one in his family because he started talking at age 8.
does anyone knows why half the episodes are cut in half?
Capt. Block has had many different women playing his wife on this show .
oh my gosh aaaaahahhahaaaaaaaaha
Aunt Nettie must be 100 there…great casting
jodia se annette demain se antwanette fet vo je
Is that Marvin?
Yes, and he would go on to play Patty Duke’s brother.
Officer O'Brien, wasn't she Biko's girlfriend?
Indeed she was! She seems to have put on a bit of weight since the Bilko days though I notice.
Elizabeth Fraser. She was Master Sergeant Joan Hogan.
Does everyone faint in this show?
