Oh my days this one took waaaay too long to listen too 😂🤭 Going threw a pretty shitty time right now and I wanted to restart these books again but found I couldn't 'concentrate' (🤔) enough on the words to take it in so finding these has been amazing 😊 So instead of reading on a night time till I fall asleep, I'm listening 😊 **at least this way I don't wake in panic when a book drops on my face suddenly 🤣🫡😊 And on to number 7 😁 thank you very much Dane 😊🥰🥰
I have not read this book in years since middle school, as I've begun exploring the series. It's been a long time for me. Now it's new to me again. I thank you, Dane, for reading this out loud for me. Job well done👏. I've grieved for Gavner Purl, Arra Sails, and Kurda Smahlt. Gavner's death and betrayal by Kurda's bloodstained hands is a tragic ending. 🗡 To lose Arra, I mourn her along with Mr. Crepsley. They made a good couple and just perfect for one another. Her death is like a husband losing a wife he's devoiced from once. 😢 And now, Kurda, I felt bitterly sad 😔 as he sentenced to death upon sharpened stakes for his treachery as he accepted his own fate honorably. 🙏 🪦 RIP Gavner Purl. 🙏 🪦 RIP Arra Sails. 🙏 🪦 RIP Kurda Smahlt. Even in death, may you be triumphant. Darren Shan has become a VAMPIRE PRINCE 🤴! A great honor and privilege 👏 ❤️ 💙 💜 ♥️ 🙌 👏! I wonder if boomerangs as Arrow's weapon of choice was a reflection of his opinion of the Vampaneze. Neither group used ranged weapons such as guns but Vampires were allowed throwing weapons which Vampaneze were not... having said that, Vancha uses Shurikens.
Quite an important part of the series. Vampaneze shown not so much as monsters. Not quite sure how Kurda's plans were. Most Vampires would have joined the Vampaneze, so they all start killing? Or do vampires continue to feed as they do? Or could the vampires have persuaded Vampaneze to only feed from those near death as part of the pact? The war of the scars is avoided. Funny, not ure if DarrenShan was going for this but kind of seems like Arra got what she deserved. Insulting the vampaneze, who, this group turned out to be quite morally good, killing mercilessly, then Glalda gets her. Then Darren talks about his observations of Glalda's corpse, makes me feel more sorry for Glalda than I would Arra.
