I think it's more about appreciating how the content is presented (the music, Sagan's passion etc) not the content itself. It's a great video, you can't deny it.
Beautiful. I miss Carl Sagan - he was a massive influence when I was young. As was Vangelis. I more or less have all his albums. Today I am a very happy Pantheist. Peace.
Thanks for posting this FFreeThinker! Do you think that people who chatter with no substance, even if they truly have a cause worth hearing .. will usually get respected attention? OK, now that I've got that off my shoulders - I think Mr. Carl spoke of things that many can't even comprehend yet. Honestly, does it really matter so much what "CREATION" is called - or that it is respected and honored and explored? Much love & endless light! ~deZengo
Listening to this I suddenly realized that Sagan himself just barely lived to see the first extrasolar planets confirmed, and he wouldn't have known of any when Cosmos was being made. That just makes one wonder how it will be to listen to these words when the first extraterrestrial life forms have finally been discovered. By the way, I just love the phrase "matter has grown to consciousness". It's poetic, eye-opening and factual, all at the same time.
I remember seeing this on TV when I was a small boy. I always remembered the bit from about 6.00 onwards where he talks about "being fried" and I remember the hunter things. I'd always wondered what programme it was and now, nearly 30 years later, I know!
Wonderful video a thought provoking as well~~ I too wondered if there is life in another planet. I think it is but human was not able to reach those planets yet to discover the life there. Perhaps in the future people will be able to answer the quest...Thank you for the lovely educational presentations in all your videos...Best wishes from Zuzanna
What a beautiful and thought-provoking video. When I was little I wanted to be an astronaut. Other interests came and went, but I don't think it's too late. It will just take some time. :)
@robtherub I will try to be clear: When gravity and electromagnetism are referred to as "forces", the technical term is "fundamental force" or "fundamental interaction". There are 4 fundamental interactions. Mechanical forces are not fundamental interactions between elementary particles. Gauge bosons are responsible for mediating these forces between particles. We have found bosons for EM, strong and weak. We have not discovered the particle responsible for Gravity. Better?
i am strong in academic, i still complete all work by knowing the main idea, how they connect and being able to see the system run in mind. this is successful for me. i dont need to know the vocabulary of the heart anatomy, alll i need to know is how it works well enough for comprehensive problem solving, in which i can do by visualization. no technology,no words, no spelling needed
There was discovered amino acids on a space rock just a few days ago. I've favorited a video about it if you want to see. It might not be "life" as in living, breating organisms, but it's getting interesting.
the thing i find most fascinating about life is the desire to survive the desire to produce off spring combined with the desire to protect that offspring to the death. this is seen at all different levels of intelligence.in plant life if something is dying quite often the remaining energy is forced into seed production in an effort to sustain the species
It's a wonderful feeling to know that as small and insignificant as I was born, I am and shall remain a part of history of something so big, so magnificent and thriving in a cosmos of centuries upon centuries multiplied by billions and trillions of past and present, and dare I say, future. Perhaps forever. How cool is that??? I think it's awesome!
I have a sincere wish that Sagan were alive today. Towards the end of his life one could tell that even he was in awe of our advances in exploration. I would love to hear his words now on what we are able to see today. Even before I knew of him so well I had the question of why it is we believe "life" can only exist in the circumstances that we believe we understand. We don't even know all the life as it exists on our planet Earth yet we believe life can only exist on other Earthlike planets
2 - Imagine two spinning tops colliding with each other. If one were to transfer all of its rotation into the other top, one would be stationary and the other would be spinning at twice the speed. The total rotation of the system is still equal to the beginning (disregarding friction), it's just been transferred. But, fyi, this is a basic description of how rotation can be altered while the total rotation is still exactly the same. It works a bit differently with planets, I believe.
1. Suppose 6 people are in 6 rooms, all isolated from sound etc. All these rooms end in one corridor. They are all given a dice which they can role one time. Only the people who roll 6 are allowed to go out of the room, into the corridor and announce there they have rolled 6. The other ones need to stay in their isolated rooms. One person will , by the laws of chance, throw a six. He is joyful and walks into the corridor, announcing to thin air he threw a six.
@suanpan Technically it would have to be animal that lays eggs that came before the egg, for what I assume are obvious reasons. However your question is kind of like asking "Who did the first English speaker talk to?". (Why? The question implies that some Latin speakers suddenly started speaking English out of the blue, when in fact the change was gradual and it would be impossible to pinpoint the "first" English speaker, or the "first" person with a Boston accent. Ditto for the "first" egg.)
God, I wish he were still with us!
Carl Sagan will be an hero forever
Wonderful. Thanks for the invite. Subbed.
His voice is so soothing and this is such a wonderful program.
I think it's more about appreciating how the content is presented (the music, Sagan's passion etc) not the content itself. It's a great video, you can't deny it.
I love Sagan's magical voice. A voice of reason and logic.
What a tantalizing video and the background score..It always brings silent tears to eyes when I start imagining our great great cosmos.. :)
Very facinating & informative video clip. Good work and thanks!
this video is a mix of pure science and pure dreaminess and randomness.
so touching and inspiring! 5 stars and hella lot of thanks for sharing this vid!.made my day, really.
I love this Sagan fella! Wish he was still around.
Nothing gets better than this. Nothing.

This show is amazing.. Sagan is a brilliant man.
Very good points for us to think about.Seems every time we look at even our own Galaxy we end up with a million more questions than answers.
Thanks, I'll dig around to see what I can find.
this is what i agree with. perfect.
i like the music analogy. great idea. nice graphics, funny voiceover
This stuff is really cool.
I'd like to see more of it.
Fantastic vid; love the perspective.
no matter how many times i see this blue little planet of mine.its always tacks my breath away.
This is the kind of video I enjoy watching. Very educational and I'd say "this is the real thing".
I feel the intelligence radiating off of you - I see why you are such a proud person.
I love Sagan's voice.
Thanks very much, such a great channel, love, light and peace♥

Excellent!!!
great
Carl Sagan is indescribably awesome.
Cool!!! I read a lot of your comments here. Must say that you have great knowledge about life and stuff. I guess you meditate as well. Impressive :)
That was really interesting !!!!!!!!!!! Thanks !
I love this video.
Thank you.

VERY GOOD VIDEO
What a beautiful and thought-provoking video. When I was little I wanted to be an astronaut. Other interests came and went, but I don't think it's too late. It will just take some time. :)
Awesome!
Carl Sagan was on the right track just needed to change the path, yet the journey was worth it.
@robtherub

Sagan remains awesome!
Cool Video
@AWSNATION Thanks im anxious to go there
I wish I could make a time machine and travel back in time to meet Carl Sagan! It would be so cool to actually have a conversation with him!

Absolutely amazing Video.. What's the name of music at the beginning?
Loved Sagans movies... great dude :)
Can someone tell me where some of the music comes from on this? It's beautiful..
If you mute this video and put this on full screen with requiem of a dream playing in the background its pretty epic and wild!!
@piergiorgiovico
Piergiorgio, grazie per la condivisione!!!!
molto interessante.
I liked the way you put that
@fabianoasc Amazing video and certainly inspirational...Sagan was truly a beautiful mind. Thanks for sending Fabiano! :-)
Bellissimo!!!!!
That would be awesome!
I only wish!
I love how he says, "Live 'there' on earth!" (Instead of "here").
AMAZING Video 5 stars
He was such a poet... How comes that some people can't see infinite beauty in these "structures"...
RIP CARL SAGAN ♥
@afshinkiyani I feel your pain. Many people misunderstand the scientific meaning of law, theory, hypothesis, and conjecture.
I never saw a widescreen version of cosmos.
Where do I get it, anybody know??
I like your photo, right on!
Saw the concept of floaters in another more recent video..animation..was pretty interesting
I miss Carl....Godspeed.
yeah your right
Very beautiful,interesting clip.Thanks FFreeThinker . Thanks lahore2vancouver ji. for sharig. 5**********W.R. Sarla.
Strangely, I love the music in the background. =)
I'll go into further detail once you post me your results and conditions of the experiment.
Carl Sagan was amazing, a real visioner.. Love him and the voice is so penetrating
Sagan was epic.
.26?.. Where did you get that from? And how would you know that in the first place? Just asking.
There was discovered amino acids on a space rock just a few days ago. I've favorited a video about it if you want to see.

The universe is totally AMAZING...
THIS VOICE IS OF THE BEST TV SCIENTIEST CALLES CARL SAGAN

That nick fits you like a glove by the way.
The picture at 3:00 ! I want it in HQ and on my desktop right now! =)
good vid
Waw very good 👌 👌
Whats this song called? starting up from the begining ?
We miss you, Carl.
Wow Wow Wow Wow, where did you get this from??? I saw Cosmos in 4:3 Standard definition, this thing looks like it comes from Blu-ray???
Even if there is only one intelligent civilization for each galaxy. There must be billions out there. Simply amazing.
@zeroedimension it's not for sale
anyone know what the soundtrack starting at 3:22 is called or where i can find out?
@szivalj thanks for the info

organic means living, living matter, life everywhere
I have come to have an ever-increasing respect for Carl Sagan. An inspiring man, religious differences aside.
