Towards the end I realized something, in most stories I've read about fairies and fae they are killed by touching iron, I guess it's a deadly trap to prevent other fairies from breaking in, like planting poison ivy under windows :D They look great! I am tempted to get a horse shoe so I can make one!
This is very good. I would like to see similar only for a hinged door (horseshoe would be nice but not requried). I want to install a hinged fairy door that opens and closes. I want to attach this to the base of an outdoor tree (there is a small void at the base that the door opens onto). So it needs to be fairly weatherproof. I believe I'd need to use aluminum wood screws to secure the aluminum hinge to the tree??
