I’ve noticed similarities in pentagon’s title tracks
1. Korean wordplay (daisy represents the flower daisy and sounds similar to a korean word that means burn)
2. Toxic relationships. (I think that’s pretty self explanatory)
3. Rebellion/resistance (Basquiat is in resistance of prejudice, naughty boy is about resisting the expectations from society and the older generations)
4. Growth (the lyrics change from “I hope you’re never happy” to “please be happy”)
5. Visually dark and intense music videos but meaningful lyrics and styling
In conclusion, pentagon best and most creative (self-producing) idol group
edit: they're also really good with showing heartbreak and nailing the nostalgia/bittersweet factor. naughty boy sounds so happy but a lot of people have said they feel kind of sad after listening to it. daisy's a really bright, energetic song but it's about heartbreak and a bad relationship. even sha la la is a party kind of song but there's a hovering feeling of sadness SOMEHOW. also, good job unis and non-unis who helped stream- we got the first win!

Not a Universe but had always been awed by Hui's talents. Started to actually listen to Pentagon's songs during their appearance on Road To Kingdom. Was waiting eagerly for this comeback and they truly didn't disappoint anyone. This song IS A MASTERPIECE! From the lyrics to the melody, from the MV to the dance, this is just SO GOOD!

Pentagon is the group ignored for 4 years by people. Even SHINE which is one of the most iconic song in Kpop couldn't get them their first win. I was supporting them through their whole RTK journey..and I found that whatever Pentagon did people always criticized them...be it the VERY GOOD stage, JINHO'S ENLISTMENT stage or FOLLOW stage. It literally made me cry when Kino broke down in their Vlive..

@@sunshinelight5329 he is very fragile in health...he missed the comebacks multiple time. The one before his long hiatus, he attended a singing competition in China and went to the hospital multiple times.
He contacted cube and got no reply in December when he feel he is good to comeback.
Cube might be negligent because of change in management during that time. And apparently there was internal issue with regards to a change of a chinese company to another chines company(from fan speculation) after the new Chinese company took charge, Yanan seemed to be allowed to come back and they tried to shift management direction.
Or perhaps cube was just waiting for his health clearance since they don't want him to join for a short comeback and become sick again which explains their statement regarding yanan in Feb. I dont think yanan would be able to handle rtk schedules and stress seeing how he went through pentagon maker eliminated and then visibly shaking in China singing competition.
He was then announced to be starring in a drama in China to perhaps see if he can handle it and improve his confidence as a part of the group. And now he joins the comeback. Hopefully he continues to stay healthy

To be honest, Daisy deserves song of the year. I mean, as soon as the song started playing, I knew it was going to be a hit. Not surprised considering it's Pentagon.
From the dancing and lyrics, it just mashes together extremely well. The lyrics have such a deep meaning behind them, which show so much emotion. I hope this comeback gets them a looooooong deserved win. As fans we should support them and comfort them. Even if they don't get a win, they will forever be appreciated for the music and personality which they created.

Some people may sleep on this song or even do not like it, but as a musician I can say that this is a masterpiece
Daisies in flower language mostly means “purity” and “innocence”, which is ironic considering the topic of the song which is lies of love, but another meaning to daisies are “transformations” and “new beginnings.”
This is a hopeful start to a new beginning for both PTG and Universe, one of happiness and to a true self, regardless of whether they get music show wins. That be said however...
what our boys have been doing for a long time deserves at least a little bit of something for their hard work. So let’s persevere for them!!

every member’s scenes have a colour theme each:
hui - white
hongseok - red
shinwon - black
yeoone - green
yanan - pink
yuto - yellow
kino - purplish blue
wooseok - light blue
and when they come together their scenes are white just like how all the colours are white when together but after going through the prism they are refracted and dispersed into the different colours
i think that's why Hui is the white one because as a leader he brings all of together like a prism or something. I'm not sure if i make any sense here. I'll do more research and I'll add later on why I think the other members have that certain color. hehe this is mere opinions and my thoughts. im not sure if they are correct though.

I can't remember how on earth did I stumble on this masterpiece in Spotify. But I clearly remember falling in love with this song at first listen. It was so beautiful and captivating but it sounded so painful and sad. I couldn't understand the lyrics but my heart ached every time I listened to it, especially the chorus. Rarely does a song makes me wanna cry.
Lately I've been listening to it again and well, I finally watched this MV. Reading the lyrics hurt even more. It's amazing how this song was able to convey its emotions to me even without the lyrics. Music indeed is universal.
