The last time I saw a ninja in front of my eyes was in 1987 ! Thanks for the vidéo, this car is beautiful even if it is made full of plastic ! Please next time, test a radiant Ayk and an alien hirobo 🥰
I remember seeing them advertised in RC Car Action mag back in the day. Totally forgot about them until your video. I thought they were awesome back then. And they are still awesome today. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Loving this, thanks for taking it to the track and showing us how it goes. Really loved it. I still remember looking at this kit in the store, it was not sold in a hobby shop where i come from, back in the days just wanting it so bad, but i/we couldn’t afford it. It was actually something i was looking forward to every time we want to the city, to go with my mom to that store, so i could look on the Ninja kit and the big bear 🙂. Thanks again for sharing.
I got to get me one of those! The Ninja & the Javelin was my two favorite RC cars when I was a kid looking in at them in my dads Tower Hobby mag… Oh what great memories of dreaming to get one
I still have two mint Galaxy RS. Marui made some beautiful cars. Other than the Samurai, they did not really performed well.....but they were so cool. Love your Ninja.
That Ninja had the moves man and lands sweet from those jumps! Great buggy and to be fair to the Ninja all Marui cars had poor quality plastic parts & gears the plastic quality was not up with Tamiya & Kyosho but Marui did have some decent design ideas and totally nailed it with the looks of a few of their cars especially the Ninja! Really nice to see your Ninja on track this buggy definitely has a place in the RC hall of fame!
Yeah it was interesting to see the design details compared to others. Overall I enjoyed the rebuild, restoration and run. Totally surprised at the quality though. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for the support.
Very nice Ninja! I had a tamiya frog and later a hotshot...both were a blast. That NINJA with old dried up tires really seems to handle quite nicely. It turns in good and holds its line, and I was surprised at just how well it handles jumps and terrain..SWEET looking car that actually performs quite well. Thank you for showing us how they run, I know finding spares for these cars isn't easy. KUDOS!!!
Hey buddy that was Awesome!!! Way to have the balls to run it!!!! My friend had the samurai back in the day and that thing was pretty sweet to look at (Hi Dale Groves) and even better to run. I wish Marui was still in the business of RC’s as this world be awesome re-re. Keep up the great videos! Thanks
Great looking buggy. I had one back in 86 and got another in the early 2000s. But on both cars I managed to strip out the diff gears. So I just sold them on. Sadly. Wish I knew then what we all know now lol. Fab vid though. 👌
Nice walk down memory lane. I had a 1988 Marui Shogun when I was 12. If I remember rightly they were a bit more expensive. I split the chassis in two doing jumps 😩
Oh it definitely handled better than we thought. Actually really surprised. It was good to get it out on the track alone but I don't think I'd use this for one of the race night videos. I'd probably end up pushing it to hard and breaking something.
I had one back then. It was reasonable priced, but I remember running it for only about a week before the chassis broke where it met the front bulkhead. It was a fatal and ridiculous failure. I paid only $120 for the kit and I think the chassis was like $59. I never ran it again. I had a Big Bear too, and that had several fatal flaws too....
That was the perfect song to go with the running part. I'm not sure about the looks of this car, I think it's the weird wing or maybe the poke through shocks that seem off to me.
Totally get it. I think its cool looking but definitely not the best looking buggy. Yeah, I try my best to match the music to the mood/looks of the rc buggy if that makes sense. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for leaving a comment.
You just reminded me why I never purchased a Marui back in the 80s , they were priced as high or higher than the Tamiya or Kyosho models but you didn’t get as much bang for your buck . But I always liked their looks, the restoration really turned out nice it looks brand new for the most part . And it was pretty cool to actually see it run right out of the box . Hopefully you’ll find a driver eventually, I’m sure one will pop up .
I just watched your video. Nice job all around. I have one of these ninjas but can't find my battery cover. Do you have any idea as to where I could get one? Thanks
Excellent! Thanks for this video. Can I ask what you used to whiten the tyre logos? Is I literally a sharpy, like a fine tip one? Thankyou . Ps the driver/plate from a ThunderDragon when cut down fits lovely and the driver/steering wheel I’d say is the right proportion. That’s what I added to mine,
I’m sure the viewers figured it out considering there are shots of you with the remote in your hands in the background. But just in case.....HEY EVERYONE HARRY WAS DRIVING! thanks buddy!
I am rebuilding my stored one.
Thanks for the upload,enjoyed it.
Rc greet from the Netherlands.
In retrospect it wasn't worth lusting after and having one for a birthday. The bigwig would have, still want one!
You've done a fantastic job.
Looks great 😎👌🏻 Awesome to see it on the Track 🤩
Thanks and appreciate the comment.

Your welcome and so very happy you enjoyed the video.
I still have my Marui Ninja that I got in middle school around 1987. It’s somewhere in my parent’s attic.
I got to get me one of those! The Ninja & the Javelin was my two favorite RC cars when I was a kid looking in at them in my dads Tower Hobby mag… Oh what great memories of dreaming to get one

Super cool to see it on the track. I have the Marui Samurai and Big Bear myself.

Thanks for the awesome run👌 That beautiful track needs some stadium lighting and a beer tent...
It has almost stadium lighting haha.
Heineken.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I just had to run it. Had to take a chance.... Thanks for your support.

Thanks! Glad you liked it. Going to find some time to run the Marui Coors Thunderbird next. Hopefully soon.
Sweet run
Thanks man appreciate the support.
Cool to see a Ninja on track. You might be the first on youtube to do so. Love your channel. Btw your ninja skills in e158 was just awesome. 😂💪
My 3rd profession after my real job and youtube is a ninja. I'm for hire. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for the comment and support.
Great video
Great T shirt
Now you definitely need to pick up a Samurai and do a track comparison. Great video.

Very nice video 👌
thanks
Perfect T shirt sir. Ninja looks fantastic. It always interesting with regards to the different engineering between rc companies.
Thanks and glad you liked the video. Shirt is Awesome!
It looked to be a pretty decent runner Ari,considering that it's just all plastic bushings.

Cool video bro. Mine bushings on mine are shot. I need to get bears lol.
I wanted one of these so bad back in the day, but I got a good deal on a kyosho javelin instead. But the Ninja was the best looking RC car of the day.
That shirt is 🔥

I had one of these!
Great video. Where did you find the spare parts?
Excellent! Thanks for this video.

Please no shelf Queens are you going to fix the oil shocks with some new o-rings?
Could you suggest a 1/10 chassis where the body would also fit on ? I´d like to buy repro body and decals and put it on a new chassis...
The ninja logo looks the same as late 80s early 90s Kawasaki motorcycles
Just got myself a Shogun
The world's smallest wing.
LOL... yes it is. Don't know what thats all about but I didn't design it lol...
I had a Marui galaxy
Man your run video kinda lookd like me driving but i didnt see me get any credit.... you'll be hearing from my lawyer
I’m sure the viewers figured it out considering there are shots of you with the remote in your hands in the background. But just in case.....HEY EVERYONE HARRY WAS DRIVING! thanks buddy!
@@RCRetro my lawyer will still contact you
I have a Marui Shogun
It's just as noisy as mine was!
well atleast you know is was built the right way when it makes the same noise as others...lol.😂
Marui were always cheap cars. The Ninja was probably the best they put out.
The ninja suit was gay
