We had such an incredible time at Sinulog! Have you ever been to a festival like this?? Huge shout out to our buddy Tal for the drone clips, follow his channel here 👉 ua-cam.com/users/moviemusicman1996
Thank you for uploading a video on the Sinulog festival!. It makes me appreciate more of my hometown Cebu. I've been following your vlog for a few months already and it inspires me to do some traveling too. Anyway, great vid again and keep it up.
Looks like the gang is reunited once again. y'all had a blast with Tal and the gang. The kids really gravitated towards you both. The Sinulog festival is an incredible celebration and the people have so much pride.
That's my band at 1:46 and that's me on the other side of the drummers! Thank you guys for including us in your video. Much love from Community Drum and Bugle Corps!
Sinulog is a filipino fiesta which is when households openly invite friends for a feast. Dont be surprised that the USC tent invited you. We call it 'fiesta'
Yeah I remember when I was young, during fiestas, everyone just coming and going from every house, eating only a little in each place because there's more houses to visit.
OOO MYYY GOODDD that is a wild party!! Why havent i heard of that! I'm going with my wife next year! that is awesome! The people seem so open and friendly. Im so glad you guys got to attend. A lifetime memory.
I was waiting for this and it did not disappoint! It looked soooo much fun! It’s the first time I’ve heard of this festival and now I’ve added it to my bucket list, it looks amazing! Excited for the rest of your adventures
That looked like so much fun! Good call on using the gopro 😋 I always wonder about nice cameras in crowds. Glad you got to hang out with friends and experience it that way 🤗
Out of all the sinulog 2020 vlogs (mostly foreigners) this is the only vlog that knows the history (Christian/Catholic) of such event. 👏 Very good. 🏆 "Basically it's the baby Jesus" 😉 you got it right.
New subscriber here from a Filipino living in London for many yrs. I miss my country...it's so lovely to see you having a lovely time. It's more fun in the Philippines xx
Now i remembr .. look familiar when i see all of you at sugbo merkado last saturdy.. cant imagine all my fav youtubers in one place..im subscribes to all of you.. thanks for watching sinulog...
I love how you do your vlog. Very informative. You really did a research about the history of our sinulog, describing costumes, food, etc. Appreciate that much!! 😊😊😊
Hello Eric & Allison 💑 Another great vlog from you guys & I'm so glad that you really had a wonderful time in Cebu for the Grand Sinulog Festival 🎉🍻🎊🙌 Pit Senyor & Safe Travels!
Oh my gosh what have you gotten your self's into. You both never fail to deliver a absolutely intriguing video of your travels. Thanks for sharing this.
A *small* bucket list item for me is to visit Venice during Carnival. The lights, the people, the food, the costumes... All these local events look like such a blast (sweat and all)!
Proceed to Iloilo City next weekend for the Dinagyang Festival. Go to the City Tourism Office for a media pass so that you have a good view of the street dancing.
I was watching and thinking.... are they drunk? And they don't want to show it... Because that's a festival:D:) other than that, it was awesome:)))) love you guys, you always make the best travel videos
No. Alcohol and liquor are prohibited within the 100-meter radius of the parade route. Those revelers are certainly not drunk. Police are everywhere. Otherwise, they must have been arrested.
@@lionhearted1969 really? that's awesome then. Would be quite dangerous if there were so many drunk people partying. Now I want to attend this festival too :)
@@BrigitaGhuman Yes, that happened in the past before the city ordinance was enacted. While it didn't result to deaths, drunkenness had resulted to nasty fights resulting to property damage and injuries. Thank God, the city finally listened to suggestions by many locals to enact a city ordinance banning alcohol within the parade route. BTW, revelers actually aren't allowed near the parade route as there are police officers manning the streets leading to the parade route while the parade is still ongoing.
Awesome video, thanks guys!!! So now you must plan a trip (back to) New Orleans during Mardi Gras!!!!! Think about a month or so of that same intense partying … and then WOW, Fat Tuesday to cap it off!!! Yall continue having fun & posting great videos!!!
I think this would be so much fun...awesome way to celebrate....the idea of no cell or wifi service is a great security measure even though inconvenient as you said..have a wonderful time there.
Love this!! You guys seemed like you were having so much fun. So good to see!!! Looks like a blast can’t wait to head there soon. Sending u guys good vibes & love from Denver xoxo!!!
Kwek kwek! One of my favorites. My boyfriend got excited when he saw you guys try banana cue. If you can and havent yet, try some turon. It's very similar to banana cue.
hey guys, great video! As a long-time travel vlog subscriber of all three channels, I wanted say you guys created a more entertaining and comprehensive video of Sinulog than either The Juicy Vlog or Making It Happen. Awesome work!
That's sorta like Mardi Gras or Carnival. Those grilled bananas look to die for. Lots of fun to be had with these sorts of cultural events. Is this your 100th country?
It's not a little mardi gras, it is a huge mardi gras that starts as early as 7 AM and ends at about 1AM the following day. You should come here in Cebu next year to experience it.
Hello guys how is your adventure in the Philippines, specially in Cebu and the feeling of sinlog. Watching you guys now in your vlog in Cebu. Proud Filipino here. Keep it up hope you finish the RV
This brought back memories of my 3 trips to the phils.Although I didn't see sinology(sp?), I've been to the festival in Kalibo in mid January,I forget the name of it,but its pure party.days of drumming practice before the festival.I'm looking forward to retiring there soon
just saying, since you're nearby, you should visit singapore during Chingay or Thaipusam. Chingay is like carnival and thaipusam is a religious procession that has to be seen to believe. it both happens around the same (end jan early feb) so check it out pls!
Viva Pit Señor is meant to be: Calling upon the Lord in the Child Jesus. Sinulog is a veneration and homage to the Lord to start off the year.. Aren't your faces hurting from the smiles and laughter...enjoy your visit friends..
I was surprised to see you attended Sinulog. I thought you'd be in Colombia (Guatape), read that somewhere in one of your videos. If you do go to Guatape, then take the time to visit San Rafael (2-3 hours away) stay a couple of days. Very pretty countryside, chill people, and a story to tell during the violent years in Colombia. Lots of content and photogenic places. You might want to check out Reserva Natural Zafra. Back to Sinulog, apparently this festival may have started before Magellan came to the PH. It's sort of free for all party he he he he
hi Eric and Alison...hope you guys have fun and stay safe...I watch your PHILIPPINES blog last 2018....and now you guys come back again...if you happen in MANILA try to go to modern city like BGC, MAKATI, ORTIGAS, GREENHILL and EASTWOOD CITY 😜
