Joy Dunlop guides us through the next steps to speak Gaelic. We’ll meet learner Mihoko Pooley from Japan, and Calum Maclean is in Glasgow as he stages a performance and explores the history of the oldest surviving music hall in the world.
Joy Dunlop gar toirt tro na h-ath cheumannan gus Gàidhlig a bhruidhinn. Coinnichidh sinn ris an neach-ionnsachaidh Mihoko Pooley à Iapan agus tha Calum MacIlleathain a’ gabhail ceum air àrd-urlar an talla-ciùil as sine san t-saoghal.

Really happy that you brought out season 2.
Tha sinn toilichte a bhith air ais! We’re delighted to be back 😊
Seeing SpeakGaelic with more series - > week = made! Also Japanese to English... and now Gaelic? Truly an inspiring woman! mòran taing.
Mòran taing airson do theachdaireachd Jordan! Many thanks for your message Jordan. Tha sinn ag aontachadh - tha Mihoko a’ dèanamh fìor mhath! We 100% agree - Mihoko’s doing a great job 💪
I got really happy, listening to the dialogue between Micheal and Emma, I was not really listening, still I got the details of the conversation. It gave me that confidence where I can get something from a conversation that is going on without focusing too much.
☺Tha e cho math sin a chluinntinn - uabhasach fhèin brosnachail! That’s so encouraging to hear and a good signature of the progress you’re undoubtedly making with learning the language. Cùmaibh oirbh! 💪
On the quizzes (website) the gaelic sentences to translate are so badly muffled I can't translate. Sentences on UA-cam are very clear. These lessons (website) are reviews of past lessons for practice. Can't understand something when the sound is so messed up.
Really? Send the team a note and they will look into it. They were recorded by Radio nan Gàidheal so should be tip top
Can we have A2 with subtitles as well?
Madainn mhath Che! We're currently working our way through transcriptions and subtitling - hope to have this ready and uploaded to the channel soon - hopefully in the next month or so. Taing!
