Exactly, people like this Tom and his friends are the reason Crowder is so successful, just circle jerking together while Crowder gets as many views as ever. Maybe stop spewing lies, do some research and work and actually try to do something against all the evil in the world, instead of fueling it.
Him saying “I don’t love you” to his WIFE is heartbreaking to me. I’ve been with my husband for three years and I could never even FATHOM either of us talking to each other like that. Me being pregnant right now makes me more emotional, but his words were still unacceptable imo. If my husband said that to me, I would be devastated.

Also, if he's being truthful, how many times did he lie and say he loved her before this moment? We don't know. Either way, Crowder has done plenty of things live on camera, in full context, to make me not like or respect him. Like his attitude towards Native Americans. His jokes are not funny because they don't contain a single drop of truth in them. They're just wildly inaccurate insults. I know, I grew up on a reservation. His Native accent also sucks the biggest, hairiest balls imaginable. He's just not that funny, definitely not as funny as he thinks. His investigative journalism is something he should focus on more. @@DerMeister821 Sure does. Like framing college students as doe-eyed idiots that can't debate. @austinjones8964 yeah, I think the context of his comments were in the contemporary sense and that should have been overwhelmingly obvious by the content presented.
@@Chef_Alpo So are you saying that it's contemporary for younger generations to be less capable today? That seems like an overgeneralization. If that is the case, I would have to completely disagree. It might seem that way, but it's more tied to decisions. We all have the same base potential to be able to communicate effectively, with the normal exceptions ubiquitous in nature. Whether or not you fulfill that potential is highly dependent on your upbringing and culture.
The reason college kids were debated is because they have extremely strong opinions but no facts to back up them up, and everyone in their bubble just parroted what they already believed.

You missed the point of him calling out the contract the 50 million was to distract him from the fine print which happens in almost every industry to this day, I mean they basically wanted his content to make money on it and "pay" him a salary which he already does himself and obviously doesn't want to be controlled since that is what they would get to do with the rights to his name and they would dangle that bag of money over his head. He obviously didn't want to be controlled and didn't want to be told what to say or promote which is a big thing on his channel. This does not excuse his actions behind the scenes just explains why he would make that public if they could control Crowder then just think what they would do to any other smaller creator they would own them that is why he uses the term slave contract.

The real challenge for Crowder was not debating someone prepared. It was actually finding a student with the smallest capacity to at least try and understand him. Also can we address how little faith you have in _college_ students being able to debate? A number of participants at the Continental Congress were in their twenties, like Jonathan Dayton. So if people the same age as these college students are able to help establish the fundamental principles for the most prosperous and egalitarian civilization in recorded history, there is no excuse. They are fully formed adults. If they can't relay their emotions or thoughts properly, and with respect to others, maybe college isn't for them, yet. They should have been held back earlier in school.
You can agree that people who aren't used to debating won't be good right? Also in his "socialism is evil" CMM is where he got a student who can actually debate so he tried to intimidate him.
@@karljonson3287 "They are fully formed adults. If they can't relay their emotions or thoughts properly, and with respect to others, maybe college isn't for them, yet." I already addressed this. Another thing that makes the contract drama even worse for Crowder is that this was just an initial offer with 0 negotiation. This wasn't their final top end contract. This was without any counter offer or conversations to alter things or increase the money, which they very likely would have done within reason. That whole drama was such an obvious grift, and I can't believe some of his fans fell for it. At the time I said it was very blatantly just stirring up publicity so he could launch his own competitor, which he did. When he made a mention in his video "I might even make my own network to show how to do it right", it was so obvious that he already had it planned and ready before he even made that video. I think he registered the site like weeks before the video. It was such a clear grift, but his fans are gullible.
You're assuming quite a bit. One can enjoy a show even if I may not personally like the person hosting it. Clearly the DW thing was done to stir up controversy, but that doesn't change the fact the show is enjoyable and the people he has on are often really good. It's only really a grift if the audience got nothing out of the deal, this is not true.
Bro, I used to watch Crowder for a month because of Change My Mind and a couple other vids about gun stuff. I forgot why exactly I stopped watching and you just reminded me of the Carlos thing. Full disclosure, I'm gay and I am 100% okay with gay jokes and laughed like a madman when you went "I'M GUAY! I'M GUAY!" But Crowder says some problematic things about gay people and rather than go point by point on Carlos calling him out, he spent so much time just mocking the guy for being gay. Pretty ironic considering all the clips and stories of him being very homoerotic. He's more romantic with the men on his show than he is with his own wife. Then says "gay men don't make as good of parents as straight couples," then he treated his pregnant wife the way he did. So many red flags.
Dress up as a woman and do gay voice once or twice, fair enough, kinda low effort cringe but every comedian has those bits. When it's like 75% of your fuckin career tho.... I don't think anyone on earth would be surprised if he's caught blowing fellas in a truck stop bathroom.

@@chrism4008 You do realize these are quite different things, right? Me calling myself stupid as a self-deprecating joke after making a mistake is very different from someone else calling me stupid, even more so if that person is a stranger. If both people involved are friends they'll usually know the limits of the person when it comes to banter, but this is not the case.
As someone who leans a tad conservatively on certain issues like economics and some religious aspects, I don’t really like most conservative influencers. They pick weird ass hills to die on and they’re rage baiters. It feels less like they want to start a genuine, productive dialogue and more like they want to fan the flames. I would wager to guess some liberals probably feel the same way about some of the influencers on their side of the political spectrum. I think both are planned opposition to distract the American populous from realizing we have ideas in common. A psyop, if you will.
It's a deep rooted issue with political content creators they will eventually become echo chambers in their communities before becoming rage bait and highlighting the irrelevant aspects of news. You're right though both sides are shit stirrers and distract everyone from the important issues
It’s such a shame that this issue plagues the right and left and ultimately prevents a lot of discussion across the aisle. Trying to stay in the algo and consistently make money probably drives influencers (on both sides) to cover more topics than they would otherwise. Getting heated about silly stuff really undermines any valuable insight they have on stuff that matters. They are also vulnerable to espousing beliefs that are gaining traction in their community but sound bonkers to regular people on the left, right, and center.
There's more money in being a mud-slinging grifter than there is in having sensible discussions. Most people looking for this content don't actually want to have their beliefs challenged anyways, they just want to get a rush of smug self-satisfaction or fuel some kind of paranoid complex. I don't think it's a conspiracy, it's easy to look at everything and think there's some kind of scheme going on, but things have always been like this. It's just the way people are wired and opportunists will always capitalize on these sorts of attitudes.
I think that everybody in this story are probably flawed people, and like mostly everyone else, doing selfish things. And that includes Crowder, Jared (ex-employee), Hillary (ex-wife), Candace Owens, and even The Daily Wire. That being said, I dont understand how could Tom forget the part where Jared is scheming to take Crowder's kids away from him. I mean, from all the things that emerged from this case, this was, to me, WITHOUT A DOUBT, the most piece of sh1t thing someone did. When it comes to the daily wire, I think what Crowder done to them and to Jeremy Boering was completely wrong! But when you say the daily wire missed a bullet, dont forget their recent issue with free speech (firing Candace Owens). And I dont even like Candace that much, but that was crazy bad! I have to skip through that video of him yelling at his pregnant wife every time it comes up, I can’t imagine ever being that childish with my pregnant wife.
The best part is he got mad that the contract said, "If you stop making us money, we are going to pay you less." Not that they would stop paying, mind you. They would just pay him a smaller fortune.
I mean it's a legitimate concern when you're being contracted to make content on things that regularly get you demonitized. If you're being told "cover risky topics and if you get in trouble we will also penalize you"
@@AustinPrice184Except that the penalization isnt that bad, his reward for covering those topics outweight the demonetization, thats the whole point of the deal.
@@dannymorales5549 it'd advantageous for steven because he had the audience to carry him through it but those were the blanket terms and conditions that up and coming creators would also be held to (I'm sure the penalties would be less severe) and those creators wouldn't have the pre established audience to have the ability to take a penalties on occasion like crowder could. He didn't sign the deal because of the fact it screwed small creators who thought that contract would be the only way they'd make it. If he told small creators "don't take the contract" while taking the contract himself because he hot a better deal he'd be such a piece of shit

Some laywer guys were looking into this contract at about this time and it was pretty bad. His projected production and employee costs ate up most of the contract and it wasn’t a guaranteed 50mil. There were scenarios where he could owe them money. It was more like a loan which at crowders level at the time was well beneath what the estimated value of just his mug club alone was bringing in. So The Dailly Wire was not willing to share the risk not even a bit, if anything he produced got taken down Steven and everyone who worked for him would not be compensated either as Steven is paying for everything with the fifty million which by the way was not given to him all at once in the beginning but over five years. Exactly, DW wants to build their empire. Their tact is to work within the system to 'change it' once they amass enough power and money. All the while they cater and truncate themselves, short shrifting their positions to the very forces they 'aim' to overcome. I am glad Crowder revealed to all their methodology. I am disturbed DW operates willingly like this. But they sure are serving their yube bosses well controlling the conservative viewpoint to a tamable controlled opposition. DW played a risky game, sliding in next to yube to 'take over' when all they did is get corrupted. I believe in transparency and am glad to know the DW's tact. I do what she had gone into more detail about the video of Steven and his wife. The reason he's telling her to put on gloves is because the dogs are taking a medication that is extremely dangerous to pregnant women, dangerous enough that it can cause severe detrimental effects if she even gets it on her skin. He's telling her to go walk the dogs with this issue while he is perfectly capable of walking the dogs himself. Also there is zero reason someone as rich as him only has one car, it's clearly just to control her.

A crazy insulting low ball 'initial' offer. From his good friend and buddy Jeremy. With 'friends' like that....

He only called him things maza first called himself
Multiple things can be true at once. Gay men can’t be parents, and Crowder is also a bad human.

@@chrism4008 You do realize these are quite different things, right?
I agree as a leftist
There's more money in being a mud-slinging grifter than there is in having sensible discussions. Most people looking for this content don't actually want to have their beliefs challenged anyways, they just want to get a rush of smug self-satisfaction or fuel some kind of paranoid complex. I don't think it's a conspiracy, it's easy to look at everything and think there's some kind of scheme going on, but things have always been like this. It's just the way people are wired and opportunists will always capitalize on these sorts of attitudes.
The more people that realize this, the more likely we will be able to return to some semblance of sanity.
TO ME, because of this, I think The Daily Wire took an even bigger blow than Crowder did!
This is the most over exaggerated hyperbolic take on this dude possible 🤣🤣 Easily making multi-millions a year with a solid fan base

@@edmoverlord8588 That is dubious, but I am gonna need to something ground breaking in order to justify Steven talking to his wife like that.

Crowder and alex jones are similar, immature, bigoted, divorced, narcissistic

Ha, Crowder is raking in millions. He’s not going anywhere.

Crowder is disgusting.
The best part is he got mad that the contract said, "If you stop making us money, we are going to pay you less." Not that they would stop paying, mind you. They would just pay him a smaller fortune.
Honestly this wouldn't be that big of a deal if it didn't come from Mr. "You earn what you're worth".
I still wouldn't do a deal with the Daily Wire.
I fully believe if you're a company that forces a non compete you should be required to pay that person their full wage for the duration of their none compete.
The point that is missing is the fact that Mug Club has 200k subs at $90/year. He was already bringing in 18 million a year. Why would he sell out for 12.5 million a year?
Not to mention that Tom left out the rumble numbers, pretty lazy on Tom to leave that out
Then why not say that? "I make more on my own, thank you and good luck, but no thanks." Simple, professional, honest.
@@kev3d to be fair Crowder did expose how much control they have over their employees. It makes so much sense when you here Matt Walsh say something that doesn’t align with the rest of his talking points. And then Crowder shows how much the DW can legally fine you cause of your contract and how much that own of your brand. I understand the Daily Wire wanting to reduce risk, but with how their system is set up it’s insane, how talking out of line will cost a member of their company everything. Good on Crowder for exposing them.
@@BohdanKaiba This is the same Crowder who has Not Gay Jared under a restrictive NDA, right? The same Crowder who complained DW was beholden unto "big tech" when he remains on UA-cam to push his Mug Club subscriptions. It should also be pointed out that everyone keeps referring to the "contract". It wasn't a contract. It was a conversation starter with terms to be negotiated.
"talking out of line will cost a member of their company everything. " Do you see a lot of pro-abortion co-hosts on Louder with Crowder? Or on Prager U? Or Blaze? How long would a "let's trans the kids" type last on Crowder's platform? And in turn, how long would a pro life, low tax, anti-BLM conservative last on The Young Turks? The fact is all these media companies, DW included, have a certain ideological trajectory and they hire people with a particular perspective to reinforce that mission.
And lastly, it's incredible how ignorant people are of common contracts, particularly in media and entertainment. Yes, brands get bought. It happens all the time. People act shocked and appalled because DW does exactly what every other media company does to stay solvent.
I'll sign the contract!!!!! Hell, I'm not greedy, I'll do the show for $25 million!!
Remember like athletes their contracts are big but we forget how much the cost of upkeep for staying relevant in that business takes.
Call me crazy but I’ll do it for half that.
@@oldmanjenkins3321 No sum1 went over it, he could work 4 days. His production costs arent 12.5 mill a year, no way near? u mad? He would only be reduced 10-20% if demonetized, DW woulda took the hit. It was all debunked in 4k by Jeremy Boering who literally had the contract and went thru it...
Ha, looking at the mess, they dodged a bullet
Every time I hear about this story I wish Carlos had left and stayed gone as he seemed to have done more harm than Steven ever could have. The adpocolypse did more damage to the space than any hate speech.
I don't understand why Carlos would go the sneaky, underhanded route that ruins things for everybody, rather than just mock Crowder right back. There are several things that would cut deep. Like, "Ooooo, I'm gay, but you and your wife hate each other, and you didn't get to see the birth of your children". Steven would do well to remember a lesson he should know, let those who are without sin cast the first stone.
@@spracketskooch from my understanding he’s a rich kid with a victim complex that’s common, so like many fools now a days the first thought is harming those they dislike over thinking of potential consequences
There were a few big problems where it would make anyone feel like they are not being allowed to make the show the way they want and it will be put on UA-cam and if the content is flagged or an episode is taken down he will not be paid for any work it took to make that specific show. So The Dailly Wire was not willing to share the risk not even a bit, if anything he produced got taken down Steven and everyone who worked for him would not be compensated either as Steven is paying for everything with the fifty million which by the way was not given to him all at once in the beginning but over five years. My respect for ben and the rest since what they did my girl Candace dirty and steven trying to get a better deal is something that Ben has done himself. Now they are all wishing they had not met each other. LOVE ALL MY FELLOW COMMENT SECTION COMMUNITY, Blessed Be.
I can proceed accordingly and in knowledge why Ben's yube stats are out the wazzo, unlike his contemporaries. It is not secret anymore.

That figure was the budget to produce the whole show and pay everyone who works with him. Not saying if that was stingy, standard, or generous, but get your facts straight.
Yeah I was sad he left that out. She was pregnant wirh twins and the medication he wanted her to pit on two gigantic pitbulls is one that absorbs through the skin and causes severe birth defects.
