Have you ever tried registering fake watches on fossilcare site?
Because the model/style number is same mentioned on the fake watch and in fossilcare database,
how will you figure out if it's authentic as you will be able to register with the model number.
& Secondly what if it get registered and while availing warranty(going for repair) fossil denies it saying it's fake.
If marketplaces such as Myntra Amazon Flipkart are selling fake watches with correct model number then it will definitely get registered on fossilcare,
so in that case what should a consumer do..

I bought a Tommy Hilfiger watch from Flipkart (RetailNet seller). The price was almost 3k lower than store - that's why bought it online. It came with open box delivery. A day before delivery we went to the Titan store to check out the watch physically and to look at the box.
On getting the watch, during inspection found a few things:
Box printing was not the same as store one - looked much cheaper
The watch was packed in a generic big plastic bag
There was a tag with correct item code and price, but when I scanned the bar code, it took me to a random site (not watch related)
Watch itself looked okay but was much lighter than the store version
On shaking the watch, it made a lot of noise, as if something was loose inside of it
The warranty card was made of really thick cardboard but felt very cheap
The booklet had silly mistakes such as words not having space between them
I ended up refusing the delivery. Didn't know that Flipkart is selling first copy through their official seller. This is quite concerning.

I tried calling the fossil care number but unable to connect, then i tried chat on their website and they asked me about the seller details. They verified and said this seller is verified so you get a valid product from our end, but now i am confused is it possible the product can still be fake even if the seller is authenticated? And bro which bar code scanner app you are using & the red line you talked about i got that too but on the lemination paper stick on the backside.

First of all it The genuineness cannot be judged on this basis of Bar code because That barcode is not just for Flipkart warehouse so that the product does not get misplaced and not placed by manufacturer . That barcode is just a number used to track the where the item is kept . Please get Your facts correct Instead of defaming Flipkart . And Mind You its easier to sell fake products offline than Online . In offline You can't be sure that the dealer got from manufacfurer or Not . I am a seller on Flipkart and I know the process And if you think its fake Your choice . Flipkart will never ever send You a 3000 rs fake product putting its crores of business on stake .

No. I have got several fake watches from Flipkart. Quite a big scam. And it's from their own big seller WS Retail.
Also Flipkart never gives u 8000 worth of goods for 3100..who u are kidding...Flipkart is just a Commerce platform not the manufacturer ..so Genuinity of any Product is Based on terms and conditions of the Manufacturer not Flipkart...if u are a seller, you would have known it...have you ever heard of Ethos? or other Genuine watch dealers? they will tell u if the watch is First copy or Genuine? Even though First copy of a Rolex still worth 60% of genuine product it's still a first copy. Most of the Fake ones we see are 3rd copies ...Manufactured in Korea.

Ek incident btata hu uss shop ka. Ek customer aya usse koi 1.5 lakh ki watch pasand ayi but price thoda uski budget se jyada tha to bahar chala gya and tabhi ek Banda usse ake bola ki same watch dilava dunga 1.25 lakh mai yahin se and customer Maan gya. And vo watch kuch drama karke dilva di ussey. Actual mai jo banda uske paas aya tha vo shop valey ka hi banda tha and unhone usko 1.25 lakh ki premium copy vali watch chipka di.

Sir, what i have done is , started a chat with fossilcare on the website and they verified the seller details from me and the otp i received after registering product on their website. With both these statements, they conclude it's authenticated watch and is registered for claiming the warranty if needed & sir you can also request a callback from fossil from their website. they'll call you back and you can tell them your doubts

Guys ... Please don't spread wrong information if you don't know exactly how to differentiate . I'm SM in Fossil , chennai , there is nothing to do with red line nor pink barcode , both can be original and fake . I only recommend to visit fossil service center to know and check seller details before you order .

BarCode cant be faked but they can be used on fake products as only companies can tell that product with that bar code has been sold or not. That same bar code can be used on other product (same but fake one) it will open the right info over internet but you can't say until got it checked from the showroom itself as their data dont scan same bar code twice..so ones its sold..it will be forever in the system until removed.

Dude if you love watches research them. Even if u buy from Fossil.in you will get Red line and pink barcode strip...for real genuine product. Never assume if u have redline then it's fake. Go on Fossil website registration page and enter the UniqID for registration. if you can do it then it's real. it will be on your manual. For Fossil watches india post is the official courier Partner . don't want this mess? then always buy from original websites not flipkarts/amazon's

I purchased a Fossil from an authorised seller of Fossil from Flipkart but the cardboard inside the tin box is loose and comes out of the box easily. Shall I get a replacement or it it's ok ? Rest all details are Ok
