Introducing David Needham and Sunrise Promises

- David C. Needham, my beloved professor and dear friend for over 40 years, has written reflections on 25 Bible verses that have sustained his hope in heaven throughout his nearly 95 years in this world. He passed away on Monday, February 26th, just two days after the final video was posted. I'm thrilled he was able to see this final podium completed and his final messages shared before he took a seat before the throne of God and at the feet of Jesus. His sunrise promises are now his sunrise reality.
This video is an introduction to David and his twenty-five reflections, which have been made into short video meditations that can be shared with anyone needing encouragement and comfort concerning our glorious hope as sons and daughters of God.

These videos are incredibly precious. Today i watched them through from the beginning to the end. It's been only three days (at this writing) since David Needham went home to be with his Savior whom he loved so much. May God use these videos to help people--especially those nearing the end of their lives--to keep their eyes on Jesus as they prepare to see Jesus face to face.
I was privileged to be taught by David at Multnomah in the mid 70's. What a genuine and God loving man he was. No one could paint a picture like him. I've said this many times of him: When David spoke, it seemed as if he had one foot in heaven. Now, he has both. He will be missed. Yet, we will see him again, because of our God who loved us so much to send us Jesus! Thank you for this last treasure from David!
David: It's been a long time since Dan Reid and Paul Rhoads and I went sailing with you near Portland way back in 1999 or so. I met you first when we brought you up to Seattle in about 1980 or 1981 after BIrthright had come out, and Fred Luke and I had you come up for a weekend retreat that was life-changing for many. I grew up in Japan with Danny Reid--his mother Mary was my "Aunt Mary" and my mother's best friend in Japan for over 20 years. God is good! Blessings to you, my dear friend! Steve Hoke

Thank you Duncan for your vision and work to make this come to pass! What a delight to bask in our Lord's promises with Prof. Needham once again. Those days at MSB spent with David Needham in a class, Men's Chapel, Family Chapel, or even an evening talk in the A-Frame were priceless. He taught me so much about my new nature in Christ and delighting in the Lord. I look forward to this series.

And thank you for seeing the treasure & pouring your heart & time into sharing it with us. I believe we went to MU at the same time (somewhere between 92-96?). So glad he is with the Lord now. Waiting my turn. :)
Privileged to have taken a number of classes from Dr. Needham at Multnomah in the 70's. He was a good teacher but that was not what made the biggest impact on me. It was his prayers at the start of class. He took us right into God's throneroom.

Where can I locate all of David’s devotions? My dad has a booklet David sent him a couple of years ago. He’d love to have all of them in a color book and/or some way to play them on his computer. Is that possible?

There are presently 15 of the 25 reflections videos created on the Sunrise Promises UA-cam channel. The final 10 are still being produced, but will be posted on the channel as soon as they are available.
