I'm someone newer to kpop, and after months of streaming random kpop songs in my car, this was one of the few songs that I became addicted to upon the very first listen. For awhile, it was one of the few songs I'd start my stream with, which eventually led to me realizing how much I loved every other Dreamcatcher song that would start playing. Fast forward a few months later to today, and I can safely say that this was the song that got me into the group, and I'm now absolutely falling in love with the song all over again the more I learn about them, and I _finally_ watched the MV. I'm actually really impressed with how organically I became a fan of them through nothing but sifting through random songs and pure audio! I also feel like I can't stop gushing about how it's been awhile since I was _this_ in love with a song.

So my theory is.. JiU was a queen/princess . She and yoohyeon were good friends, but then Yoohyeon got possessed by an evil spirit who wanted to become the queen and sit on the throne instead of JiU, so JiU tried to get rid of the evil spirit inside of Yoohyeon by killing it. Plans didn't go well and the possessed Yoohyeon killed JiU, but she didnt actually die. After that, all the remaining members of dreamcatcher turned their backs towards Yoohyeon. The possessed Yoohyeon obtained the throne but was feeling lonely and sad, because everyone left her. JiU wanted to kill yoohyeon (in that pink dress) to get rid of the evil spirit, but that would mean that the real yoohyeon had to die as well, so JiU dropped her sword and didnt go any further. Possessed Yoohyeon was probably so mad at JiU (because all the members turned their backs against her) and went to pick up the sword and kill her instead. Maybe this also explains the title deja vu (already seen). In the first part Jiu wanted to kill yoohyeon to get the spirit out of her, but yoohyeon 'killed' JiU instead. In the second part, Jiu was (again) planning to kill yoohyeon, didnt go with that plan, and Yoohyeon killed her instead.

Not exaggerate at all, this is the hidden gem of K-pop. The quality of song and music video is something that K-pop wasn’t ready for. It’s kinda hard to compare to other K-pop music cause this song doesn’t even sound K-pop and that’s why many non-K-pop fans appreciate this song. Dreamcatcher really created an unique song, this is the pure definition of “music for the arts not for the charts”.
The good news: Dreamcatcher gained more fans turned to InSomnias, In this promotion. The bad news: The Show miscounted votes of DC's first win. But doesn't mean will stop fighting for DC official win. Half kpop fans are really missing out on Dreamcatcher.
I cannot put into words how much I love this song and the music video. I remember watching this at school when it first came out and being completely stunned; each frame fitting into these 3 minutes and 46 seconds is gorgeous, and the harmony between the visual storytelling and the song itself is devastatingly beautiful. I know nothing about music so I cannot tell what it is that makes this song so great, but it is possibly my favorite of all time. I feel like it only gets better with each listen and I still sometimes discover new details to appreciate even after almost 5 years. Deja Vu is an insanely good song, and its greatness is only enhanced by this magnificent video. I very rarely comment on youtube, but every time I listen to Deja Vu or watch this masterpiece I'm overcome by this need to let somebody or maybe everybody know how passionately I adore it with every fiber of my being. The angelic piano and the build-up for that explosive final chorus especially take my breath away each and every time.
I so relate. Kings Raid, a game I grew up with, collaborated with Dreamcatcher, the group that got me into kpop. Polaris has since been and still is my number 1 comfort song, and I still believe Deja Vu is Dreamcatchers greatest work to date.

You know, I'm always worried when Dreamcatcher release new music that they'll fail to do something new or try to repeat the formula of a previous song and fail to do it as well. Yet every time, my worries are proven to be unfounded. They constantly out-do themselves in keeping their music fresh and yet distinctive. They have cultivated a sound that is unmistakably their own, and yet they are able to explore so many different themes and styles within it with each release. They are always able to go that little bit beyond the norm to turn a good song into a great one. Their producers and songwriters deserve a huge amount of credit, as do the girls for performing each song with the vigour and personality needed to turn them into hits.
I dunno why this comment makes me want to cry. 😭 I also worry that might happen and make them feel like they're facing a wall with their music. But as you've said they always outdo themselves and that makes me so sooooo proud of them! I really wish more people realize how good dreamcatcher is. They deserve so much!

Not exaggerate at all, this is the hidden gem of K-pop. The quality of song and music video is something that K-pop wasn’t ready for. It’s kinda hard to compare to other K-pop music cause this song doesn’t even sound K-pop and that’s why many non-K-pop fans appreciate this song. Dreamcatcher really created an unique song, this is the pure definition of “music for the arts not for the charts”.

I cannot put into words how much I love this song and the music video. I remember watching this at school when it first came out and being completely stunned; each frame fitting into these 3 minutes and 46 seconds is gorgeous, and the harmony between the visual storytelling and the song itself is devastatingly beautiful. I know nothing about music so I cannot tell what it is that makes this song so great, but it is possibly my favorite of all time. I feel like it only gets better with each listen and I still sometimes discover new details to appreciate even after almost 5 years.
Deja Vu is an insanely good song, and its greatness is only enhanced by this magnificent video. I very rarely comment on youtube, but every time I listen to Deja Vu or watch this masterpiece I'm overcome by this need to let somebody or maybe everybody know how passionately I adore it with every fiber of my being. The angelic piano and the build-up for that explosive final chorus especially take my breath away each and every time.
I so relate. Kings Raid, a game I grew up with, collaborated with Dreamcatcher, the group that got me into kpop. Polaris has since been and still is my number 1 comfort song, and I still believe Deja Vu is Dreamcatchers greatest work to date.

Can we talk about how unique Dreamcatcher is? Like, I'm a huge fan of EVERGLOW and G-IDLE but the fact that Dreamcatcher *consistently* mixes rock in with the other sounds is phenomenal and I don't think I've heard any other K-POP group do it. I'm so glad I stumbled into being an InSomnia.

You know, I'm always worried when Dreamcatcher release new music that they'll fail to do something new or try to repeat the formula of a previous song and fail to do it as well.
Yet every time, my worries are proven to be unfounded. They constantly out-do themselves in keeping their music fresh and yet distinctive. They have cultivated a sound that is unmistakably their own, and yet they are able to explore so many different themes and styles within it with each release. They are always able to go that little bit beyond the norm to turn a good song into a great one. Their producers and songwriters deserve a huge amount of credit, as do the girls for performing each song with the vigour and personality needed to turn them into hits.
