Thank you! I’m glad you appreciated seeing Creed on the list. They've been going downhill since the release of Viking in 2017 (which I think is the last great Creed fragrance).
Thank you for your comment! Kajal IV is indeed a standout-I’m glad you agree. As for Aican, it feels like it missed an opportunity to bring something fresh to the table.
Ahahah thanks for sharing! I completely understand-sometimes we enjoy a fragrance but can’t justify the price. It’s great that you still find joy in it!
Great stuff as per. A pretty dire year for fragrances. Flankers and "pantydroppers"seems to be the order of the day. Unfortunately , it seems like niche is becoming much more designer esque. Also designer frags are becoming sweet generic takes on tobacco/vanilla. Strangely enough my wife bought me eau ombre leather which I really liked. It's not normally my kind of thing but I ended up enjoying it . Anyway , great stuff as always. Love from London 🙏🏿
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I agree-this year felt very safe with flankers and crowd-pleasers dominating the market. It’s great to hear that Eau d’Ombre Leather ended up surprising you in a positive way. Sending love back to London! :)
Thank you for watching! I totally get your point about Erba Pura-it’s one of those fragrances that divides opinions. The fact that it sells so well shows just how different tastes can be! I really like Erba Pura, for example 😂
Hope is definitely versatile! I appreciate its wearability, but it should have been more unique, given both price tag and Frederic Malle standards as a brand.
Good day,! I appreciate your insights about these scents. You mentioned that if you needed a sweet Iris you would go to a Guerlain. Could you please share the scent you would consider? Thank you and take care.
Thank you for your kind comment! For a sweet iris from Guerlain, I would definitely recommend Iris Torrefié from their L'Art et la Matière collection. It beautifully balances the sweetness of roasted coffee with the elegance of iris. Let me know if you’ve tried it or if it’s on your radar. The problem is that it's discontinued 😅 You also have Iris Pallida 6 (although incredibly pricey), and Shalimar EDP, though with more complexity than just a typical Iris fragrance
@@ScentedMoments Thank you for this. Iris Pallida is in my radar and I love it. Somehow it is vanilla forward on me. I have set up a Iris Pallida 6 jar to save up for it jajaja. Take care.
Personally I love Acne Studios, it’s one of my favorites in a embarrassingly large collection. People say it smells cheap, but after sampling many of the cheaper options over the past several months the fact is none of them come close. Acne studios sparks my imagination every time I wear it which is more than I can say about most of my fragrances. The brand itself has always been a bit anti establishment, and I think this is a perfect fragrance to represent them.
@@originalboxelder Thank you for sharing your perspective! While it’s not my personal favorite, I love hearing how FM Acne Studios captures that anti-establishment spirit for you. Fragrance is all about finding those personal connections, and it’s great that this one stands out in your collection!
If you can find a decant, try Shalimar Millesime Iris. It is a limited edition released last year but you still find them at reasonable prices. I do not like Shalimar but I do enjoy this one
Great question! Orto Parisi is an intriguing house-bold, artistic, and unapologetic in their compositions. Terroni, Megamare, Boccanera, Cuoium are some of the standouts from the brand.
Designers were a let down across the board this year, for me. I wound up buying just one designer, Habit Rouge Parfum (which I consider designer, especially in this price range). I normally buy about as many designers as niche. This year 17 niche and just the one designer. The big designers played it safe with flankers and re-releases etc, and maybe there is a payoff to that for them, but for me, not so much.
I hear you! Designer releases this year did feel a bit underwhelming. Honestly, for me it has been like in last few years. Habit Rouge Parfum is an excellent choice, though-a true gem that’s always worth having in the collection.
@ScentedMoments To me, babycat is not very similar to Rosendo. Yes, there is a similarity in the vanilla aspect, but Ysl has a richer and more versatile scent
You are the first one to question Kajal Ïcan. I agree, I have a 5ml decant and it does not move me. It’s just mediocre. Lamar I have a full bottle and I enjoy it.
Centaurus is nice but, from memory, I find it very close to Houbigant Tobacco Nomade which is much cheaper than the Creed, I’d try it before buying Centaurus
No matter how fashionable is our dress, Hope is no match, it is Hopeless.. 😊 And Hermès should continue to create leather fragrances, not Oud. Thank you brother. Scent Of The Day : Amouage - Jubilation 25 (your favourite Chypre) Cheers.....🎉
Tubereuse Astral is pretty good, definitely not amongst the worst of newer releases for me. Rosendo Mateu 8 is great. The new Xerjoff I don't really detect the apple and it is okey. The rest I do agree, especially the Creeds
Lol..Aican was the best fragrance of 2024 for me.. I dont like fruity fragrances, but with Aican, it was like Tropical fruits mix, with Mango and Maracuja on top.. And its so realistic.. It reminds me of some Bravo Tropical fruits juice, with some fizzyness that tryes to get thru.. The sane fizzy feall like in Kaja Masa, but with less density
I love love Levar del Sol! I don't get at all, no apple, it's very molecular like fragrance indeed, but I get a beautiful smooth benzoin with oakmoss and an abstract fruity/floral blend. Put I only love it after a while, in the beginning I was like "meh" lol
Creed's new fragrance lineup is absolutely terrible. The brand is going downhill from now on. I kinda lost hope for brands like frederic malle, creed, xerjoff, nishane, amouage etc.. everything good from them, are older releases. They basically lost all the inovation and artistry.
Couldn't agree more on Creed and Nishane. This year was terrible Frederic Malle, but I still want to see what they will be releasing next, just to be sure! Xerjoff I have to try their new Homme Anniversary, Louis XV and Newcleus to make my conclusion on how was their year overall (too many releases though). Same goes for Amouage, I need to try their new Essence line to also make my conclusions on their year, but overall the downfall of Amouage is more noticeable.
I really never resonated with hermenessence line, and oud alezan is nothing different, basic rose oud fragrance for astronomic price. Whole line is astronimically overpriced, just because of the name Hermes. Ambre narghuille and Cuir D ange are masterpieces and very original fragrances, yet to try Violette violinka. But if i want that french style of perfumery done to perfection, i would go for parfums d empire, ormonde jayne or les imodables( prob wrong spelling). Creed releases i dont want even to comment how bad they are😂 I have acne studios ready to wear pieces and i love them, but this FM collaboration is fail Same as Aican, i have similar situation with Oud Maracuja from Crivelli, which i find one of the worst fragrances of all time. I think it is Maracuja note, which obviously cannot be done right in perfumery. It is so headache inducing and synthetic Hope is actually very very complex scent. Starts off very aromatic and than goes into promise teritory, but after few ours it turns into oud for greatness style fragrance. Also lasts 12+ hours on my skin. Ofc i would not be paying retail price for it😂😂
Thank you for such a thoughtful comment, as always! I agree that Hermessence is quite pricey, but I also find Ambre Narguilé and Cuir d’Ange to be exceptional (and few others actually). You’re absolutely right about those French niche houses offering that classic perfumery done to perfection. Your insights on Maracuja are interesting-it’s definitely a tricky note in perfumery - but I actually do like how its done in Oud Maracuja.
Thank you for your comment! It’s been a challenging year for Hermès. The only amazing fragrance they released this year was an exclusive and very limited one called Paddock, what a fragrance that is: hay, creamy nutty and horsey leather.
Dont know why Aican is in this list, but maybe you got a bad bottle? But I love that fragrance. I bought it blind too and I didnt look back. Tubereuse Astrale is also amazing too.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It’s great to hear that Aican and Tubereuse Astrale worked for you. Fragrance is personal, and I find it interesting how different experiences can be.
@@ScentedMoments Yes definitely I do agree with that too. Maybe perhaps you could revisit it a few months down the road once the fragrances macerate abit more too
Most companies know that their customers most of the time it only for the name. I only buy parfums for the way they smell, and that it fits by my personality. My personality is that i am completely different then others, self confidence, sweet and naughty. Come on aican is so delicious, same as Dahab and fiddah and Lamar. I tested directly ombre leather and rosandu n5 and you are right exactly the same from the start already. Only later rosandu smell a little bit sweater.
It's nothing like that 🤷♀️. Well, I hope you understand that when a perfume wins, the judges are not stupid and understand whether it is a clone or a qualitatively new sound
I got over 500 fragrances and collect for 20+ years. Delphinus is in my 25 of all time! So you have zero clue, unsubscribed! Also, 400EUR. This guy has zero clue! Got mine for 140EUR!
Oh sad. I enjoy Levar Del Sole. 🤣😂 I don’t get all of the screechy fruit. I think Amabile might be the other apple Xerjoff fragrance you are referring to. I enjoy that one but I do admit it’s a bit much. The aromatic nature and the cardamom is almost overwhelming in that one. One spray is enough and don’t spray it right under your nose. It’s a lot. 🫨
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I’m glad you enjoy Levar Del Sole-it’s always great to hear different perspectives. Amabile might indeed be the apple Xerjoff I was thinking of. You’re spot on about its intensity; it’s definitely a ‘less is more’ fragrance. One spray can go a long way!
Thanks for your comment! Centaurus is definitely a beast mode fragrance, and I can see why it would shine in the cold. While it didn’t quite click with me personally, I completely understand its appeal
I'm so glad you put creed in this list
Yes they dropped down the quality on scent side and increase it in packaging World.
Thank you! I’m glad you appreciated seeing Creed on the list. They've been going downhill since the release of Viking in 2017 (which I think is the last great Creed fragrance).
I tried Delphinus and I totally agree. I really don't like it. Very very boring.
A great vid! Appreciate the insight Joao. 🖤
Thank you so much for the support! I’m glad you enjoyed the video-your feedback means a lot! :)
Kajal IV is an incredible scent, you are super right. Agree for Aican, put out in the market without any new idea.
Thank you for your comment! Kajal IV is indeed a standout-I’m glad you agree. As for Aican, it feels like it missed an opportunity to bring something fresh to the table.
Sad to see Frederic Malle X Acne Studios here 😂😭 I actually quite like it, but didn't justify the price hahaha
Ahahah thanks for sharing! I completely understand-sometimes we enjoy a fragrance but can’t justify the price. It’s great that you still find joy in it!
Nice topic 👍
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed the topic-it’s always fun to dive into these discussions.

Great video! I don't get these screechy fruity/musky fragrances (like Erba Pura) but, according to our local perfume shop, they sell like crazy.
Thank you for watching! I totally get your point about Erba Pura-it’s one of those fragrances that divides opinions. The fact that it sells so well shows just how different tastes can be! I really like Erba Pura, for example 😂
No I agree, but I have somewhat of a guilty pleasure with Erba Pura. I wear that Scent profile usually when I'm alone.
Totally agree with aican
Glad you agree with aican! 😁
I like Hope. I see your point about Promise but Hope can be worn in so many setting and still keeping somebof darkeness the other Desert Gems have.
Hope is definitely versatile! I appreciate its wearability, but it should have been more unique, given both price tag and Frederic Malle standards as a brand.

22 years ago I got to know Creed during Christmas shopping at Harolds. It was a stunning house, glad to have known how it was. Time to let go now
Such a nostalgic story! I agree, it's better to move on and be happy that it happened.
What's your take on the house of Orto Parisi? Their website is a little suspect but that aside I'm interested in the perfumes.
Great question! Orto Parisi is an intriguing house-bold, artistic, and unapologetic in their compositions. Terroni, Megamare, Boccanera, Cuoium are some of the standouts from the brand.
I did the same comparison with No. 5 and came to the same conclusion.
Designers were a let down across the board this year, for me. I wound up buying just one designer, Habit Rouge Parfum (which I consider designer, especially in this price range). I get a lot of YSL BABYCAT from Eau D’Ombre leather. It’s fine and nice. But not Ombré Leather.
For me, Eau d'Ombre Leather is Rosendo Mateu 5, but I've heard that Babycat has also similarities with Rosendo Mateu 5. The latter came out first.
Thank you for your input! Kajal Aican definitely feels a lackluster. Lamar, on the other hand, is such a delightful fragrance-I love it too!
Centaurus is nice but, from memory, I find it very close to Houbigant Tobacco Nomade which is much cheaper than the Creed, I’d try it before buying Centaurus
I have yet to try Houbigant Tobacco Nomade, but you peaked my interest! Thank you for your comment :)
13:42 sounds like you're describing Erba Pura 😅
Haha, I can see why you’d say that! Erba Pura does have that recognizable fruity DNA, and I actually like it 😂
No matter how fashionable is our dress,
Hope is no match, it is Hopeless..
😊
And Hermès should continue to create leather fragrances, not Oud.
Thank you brother.
Scent Of The Day :
Amouage - Jubilation 25 (your favourite Chypre)
Cheers.....🎉
For me worst releases are from Dior, especially the Esprit collection.
I have yet to try Dior’s Esprit collection, but the feedback I've been hearing isn't great indeed.
Tubereuse Astral is pretty good, definitely not amongst the worst of newer releases for me. Rosendo Mateu 8 is great. The new Xerjoff I don't really detect the apple and it is okey. The rest I do agree, especially the Creeds
Disagree about Tubereuse Astrale and Acne Studios, two amazing fragrances
Fair point! Thank you for sharing your thoughts 😊
I absolutely agree - acne is something that may not be new, but the formula and execution is perfect
What about best release of 2024 ?? Thanks !
Stay tuned for that video 😁

Almost lost cash on that Creed..
Glad you avoided the mishap! Sometimes it’s best to take a cautious approach, especially with Creed releases these days.

Not a great year for FM 😅
@ScentedMoments my Carnal Flowor (2005) and Musc Ravageur (2000) is 10/10 but FM from2023-2024 is not the same😭
