Too much harsh comments about the young man interview, the artist is talking truth that we as a nation sometimes overlooked. If you have a daily conversation with half of these youths you would realise this is how they viewed the country from within. Most people in the communities think this way also but are more reserved to speak on the present situation. Upon hearing the young man answered we must not bash him but try to work in changing the mindset by providing more avenues for jobs and educational programmes. And before we attack his home upbringing please remember his actions doesn't correspond with parents responsibility, but a new generation whom have distance themselves from the older folks. The principles we adapted and the mannerism came from a community of teachers. What we must not do is turn a blind eye or deaf ears to our youths.

As an educator, although I commend his frankness, I suggest we be careful about endorsing certain anarchic points of view, disguised within supposed realness/intelligence. It is so easy to undo the efforts of thousands of teachers in this country, to show their lopsidedly impressionable students that honest, non violent minded, ethical behaviors still have value in nation and future building vs dropping a BMW in 4 months by singing about blowing someone's brain out or giving those that actually do it, Theme Music.
After all, which of us is foolish enough not to recognize the deep seeded issues that plague us? Is it not a shift in our mentality that has bred crime? Indeed he does say that humanity is corrupt and I agree, but calling a spade a spade is no overly righteous feat and definitely, no news to anyone. True honesty starts with self, and until the persons we endorse and give air play realize their responsibility to those who listen to them and also reflect on the fact that fixing corruption starts with the individual, all they do is encourage the narrative and make money off it.
We curse Mr. Chin that his goods don't last and are of low quality, though he simply panders to our reality too but we say he is taking advantage of us but yet, many of our artistes simply whisper Sweet Violent Nothings into our ears that have zero benefit and only serve to perpetuate the narrative. If Jamaica has a problem, then feeding it is naive. It is akin to putting a Surgeon General's warning label about death while boisterously advertising a cigarette brand directly to the smokers that have the problem. Isn't telling the truth a funny thing? It truly only serves people who are already willing to actually do something about it.
Realist so far he's real and he's the new new generation just to show how theses youths think nowadays the streets is college you need that no matter how much education you have you need to be streets smart to survive and this is reality 💯
