The IBA CH4 ETP1 test card with tone shown here of course. This had been shown since the channel started in 1982 and I think was shown until the end of 1992. From 1993 onwards though as far as I know, it was not shown any more because this was when the ITV franchise rounds took place, and it was decided not to show it anymore. Thank you of course anyway!!
@@stickytapenrust6869 Thank you for that. I did wonder whether by 1991 the IBA part would be replaced by NTL due to the ITC having taken over from them. But surely here it still says IBA on the card? Most odd though?!
At around that time BBC 1 and 2 debuted with respectively the virtual globe and the most remembered idents. It was just one week before it was two months prior to this tape.

From 1991 it was labelled NTL:CH4, for obvious reasons.
