Ukitake was always the one who believed in Ichigo and his friends. He's the one that gave Ichigo his badge, the one who was so concerned for his safety during the Fullbring arc, the one who trained Orihime in Squad 13, the one who stood against his father figure and the laws of Soul Society to save Rukia. Ukitake was always the kindest and most noble captain.
It's so poetic how the two best friends are such opposites. Ukitake gives his life and chooses honourable death whereas Kyoraku gives his honour and asks Aizen for help to save lives.
I absolutely love that both Ukitake and Unohana get these extra scenes! Ukitake having a parallel moment akin to Unohana's is really cool! Her line saying that she's satisfied and happy to be able to finally fulfil her life's purpose and here we see Ukitake fully content to achieve his life's purpose. The two types of battle part is a great callback to when Rukia was taught that during Kaien's death battle. Here we see Ukitake being honored to do this final act and protect the honor of Soul Society, and we see Shunsui throwing away honor to let Aizen out. It's really cool to see their duality as they were effectively brothers who both studied under Yamamoto, someone who was so bound to honor that he didn't question Rukia's execution, nor want to accept the help from humans on multiple occasions, but Kyouraku full on willing to accept any and all help at the cost of his honor is a great character distinction (also kind of honorable in a different way) Yhwach seemed a bit surprised when Orihime used her powers to heal Ichigo in the previous episode sooo MAYBE there's something there. She might not be able to heal him due to her power being a lesser power just like Yhwach isn't able to use his Almighty vs Reio.
The Soul King's existence and powers are so far beyond Orihime's reach that even her formidable rejection abilities can't undo his death. Not even Yhwach's Almighty can foresee the actions of the Soul King's right arm, placing the Soul King beyond Yhwach himself. As Aizen once said, every ability relies on the wielder's reiatsu-and the Soul King possesses the highest amount of reiatsu imaginable.
This episode made me like Ukitake even more than I already liked him 😢 also Kina, you were talking about the zombified shinigami, Giselle did explain that her powers only require the person to be dead if they're a quincy (like she killed Bambi) for the shinigami she only needs to splash her blood on them, so they're technically still alive
Gremmy did say he killed Kensei and Rose before he dropped their bodies off his "stage" so there's more chance of them being dead than Toshiro and and Rangiku.
@@megalictis9002 yeah, I guess that could also depend on what he "envisioned", cause if for example he just imagined that their hearts stopped, maybe it could go back to beating same way that Yachiru's bones turned back after his attention was on Kenpachi, but the way he says it they're likely dead
Jushiro: ROOOOOWRRRRR!!!!!! IM SAVING THE WORLD!!!! ROOOWWWWRRR!!!! Sakinah: Stooooooppppp....nooooo *_While crying_* lol jk. On another note..After tybw. I recommend reading the hell arc one shot if you havent already.
Spoiler Free explanation regarding Aizen's motivation: tldr , he basically rants to urahara about "being subjugated to that thing" (referring to the soul king which you have now seen) and how Urahara does not take action and a victor should not speak of how the world is but how it should be. His motivation to enter the royal palace could be narrowed down to him overthrowing the dummy soul king and take his place as a sentient god/ruler of the worlds.
Given Yhwach's revelation to Ichigo, I wonder if Aizen knew that only someone with combined human/Fullbringer/Quincy/Hollow and Soul Reaper lineage could kill the Soul King? Did he know, but was counting on the Hogyoku to solve his problem somehow? Or was he in for a surprise if he had managed to enter the Royal Realm and defeat Squad Zero?
_yeay, I'm here again to do some weekly headpats on Kina-san as usual_ 😂 Yeah, 1-by-1 SS Members being de∆d really heightened the already HUMONGOUS stakes 🥹🥹🥹

The callback about the battle of honor and people's life was really great. Rip Ukitake
When Masaki wondered if all Shinigami were like Isshin, the only one that came to mind was Ukitake.
From tears to absolute peak! Rip Ukitake and welcome back AIZEN sama!
they can never make me hate you Ukitake

I enjoy your side comments you write in during silence. I agree with you allot of the time
When Ukitake said he can't die so easily, it's because Mimihagi in him keeps him from dying inany possible way due to its 'stillness'.
I always have onions on my desk when your reactions are uploaded...
Your channel just got recommended to me, and I just decided to click the video. I am glad that I clicked it. It was so good. Loved it 😊
