Hi mate! great vid! im just about to do the same job. had a great weekend then on the way home the radiator lost its tap screw and i diddnt have the warning working. she got hot, very hot. still runs but i know the head is gone. sligh leak from the fron and a bit at the back. she was blowing blue smoke as i pulled her over and stopped. I want to know if you think the rings need to be replaced? ever done it? how hard, anything to look out for? any help would be appreciated.

use new cylinder head bolts and for the caps of crankschaft?
do you still have the old engine out of the zook because I have a automotive project which is a 1990 Suzuki Sierra with a blown engine
just pulled my g16b head today, cracked in the exact same spot as yours... you didnt set valve lash when reassembling??
Yes the valve clearances were done off camera as it takes a bit of time. Cheers 👍
Hello what torque did they use for the cylinder head of the g16b could you share it please
1st step 35NM , 2nd step 50Nm, 3rd step 75NM
