lia is an amazing vocalist. yes, she has weaker technique compared to other main vocalists but what makes her stand out from them is her vocal colour, emotions, versatility and passion and love for music. she has a unique tone. lia is working hard to improve and she definitely has, her technique has gotten better than before and i hope that she keeps working hard and improving her skills. stan lia!
She actually has the same level of technical skills that almost all 4th gen girl groups have. A lot of idols that people put above her in terms of technique are actually below her (Miyeon, Mia, Haseul, YuQi, even Joy)... She's also on basically the exact same level as Chuu. Lia is the type of singer who has both decent technique and an amazing vocal color

While think her breath could improve, she has a beautifully sweet voice!! Running and singing would help with this and it would help with endurance during dance numbers too. She has a unique tone that’s more rich than her contemporaries who tend to have higher pitched baby sounding voices. I want to hear longer notes and more bravado from her!

Her vocal technique isn't best in 3rd-4th gen but she's best in her group.
She can hit low notes that is much harder than hitting high notes. She has the most unique and versatile voices in kpop and she really add flavor to the song especially on how she sang the lyrics and prounce the words. No one can do it like her. ITZY songs are so so so good because of her vocals.

Her voice is actually different to JYP’s type of vocals I hear so far. She is a musical type, like RnB and country type probably since I don’t really understand types of singing style.
What I mean is, the way she sings is different to other vocalists in JYP GG so far like WG, Miss A, and TWICE vocal lines. JYP usually pick vocals that are good for performances; sound strong while dancing on stages.
Lia’s voice is something that will sell for ballads and soundtracks; more like SM’s kinda voices.
That’s why she never sounds like the main vocals; Itzy’s songs are not her style of voice actually.

I think Lia's voice is much deeper. Rose's natural voice is deep too i know, but they sound different, only simularity i noticed is both voices have interesting unique tone, and they're more comfortable with rnb songs

I am a Lia bias but my honest opinion, yes she sounds similar to Rose the only difference is that, Rose has this unique way of putting her personality im the song which Lia is still lacking. Park bom i guess is one of the most distinct singer in the kpop history idols but lia is definitely a MAIN VOCALIST MATERIAL, the voice, the technique and voice distinction. Listening to her, she's more of an indie, jazz, and rnb singer. These genres are harder to do than belting which many people think usually that once you can belt, you are already a very good singer which I beg to disagree. Kelly Clarkson once said this too (belting is easier than rnb)

Another thing is also that she sounds great without auto-tune or anything too. The Ariana Grande cover definitely didn’t have any auto-tune but she still sounds great.

Good singers doesn’t have to be hitting those high notes. She has a beautiful unique voice. I know bec I do sing in the choir and I’m first soprano but I can’t do whatever style of singing she has. Good Job Lia! You’re so talented! ❤️

Thankfully, since this video was made, Lia's had a lot of great solo tracks, including 4 studio songs: 3 OSTs (Blue Flower, Always Be Your Star, One Hundred Love) and 1 solo ITZY song (Blossom). All 4 studio solo songs are incredible.
She's also done a lot more covers and duets. Her duet with Lee Mujin - Falling Slowly is amazing. Her birthday gift to MIDZYs is a cover called Keep Me Waiting. Again, all great tracks.
Lia has been slowly but surely shutting her critics up but there will always be haters who can't admit she's a top tier vocalist, nor would they ever seek out her songs that proves she's a spectacular singer. It is what it is.
