Thank you for this reaction on Gery-Nikol song. Just to mention, Cyrillic alphabet was developed in the First Bulgarian Empire during the 9th century AD at the Preslav Literary School. The name "Cyrillic" often confuses people who are not familiar with the script's history, because it does not identify a country of origin . Some call it the "Russian alphabet" because Russian is the most popular and influential alphabet based on the script. Some Bulgarian intellectuals, notably Stefan Tsanev, have expressed concern over this, and have suggested that the Cyrillic script be called the "Bulgarian alphabet" instead, for the sake of historical accuracy.

You asked at the end about the genre. There are mainly 4 genres of music in Bulgaria ( which are popular) 1.Folk, which is the traditional Bulgarian songs, that we are all so proud of. 2. Bulgarian Pop - what you reacted to in this video. More modernized music 3. Bulgarian Rap - very self explanatory 4. Chalga or Pop-folk which I would say is the most popular and most listened to. As it's name implies it is a mixture between pop and folk, as the songs are new and modern, but they still have that touch to them that you can recognise as Eastern European. The music is very distinctive. I hope to see you react to a pop folk song once. For example "Greshka beshe". A great song!

Actually the cyrilic script was first created in Bulgaria and passed on the the rest of the eastern slavs. Also Bulgarian and Russian languages share some vocabulary. They are both rather close yet so different in grammar.

There is an English version of this song (Gery Nikol - i am the Queen) just type it in youtube ... she also got few more english version songs ... there are also other bulgarian singers with english versions of their songs (Gery-Nikol World Official) is fake profile but we trully have yong singer with this name who sings this song (the video and music is official indeed). This castle is bulgarian (Ravadinovo Castle), we also have tombs as the oldest Europe man made gold is found here in Bulgaria, Varna (near 7k years old) ... "da-da-da-da" means "yes-yes-yes-yes", "ne-ne-ne-ne" means "no-no-no-no". The style is not tipical european but tipical Bulgarian (melodic lyrics with fast changing rythmic song - tipically made for fast energetic dancing as bulgarian nature is pasionate and impulsive, energetic, creative). We are also barbarian and nomadian descendants, the oldest country in Europe also connected with ancient Persia ... so the style (mummyes too) are correct for us. The cyrilic words and alphabet are not Rusian but Bulgarian as we invent the whole Cyrilic alphabet wich USSR (whole Russia and near slavic countryes) use today.

By the way cyrillic language is created in Bulgaria for bulgarians, everyone else adopted it from us, and before there was "Russia" on their territory was Volga Bulgaria so everyone that seems "russian" is not. More of it has it origins from Bulgaria.
