The first one would be funny if he did like one of the old card Photoshops and called it "uninterrupted kaiju slumber" then slapped the art on the card and wrote some funny text in the text box.
What's terrible is I could think of an actual real use for that version of the card. Something like "If both players control a "Kaiju" monster, shuffle those monsters into the owners deck, and if you do, change all monsters on the field to facedown defense position."

the fish meme is far more entertaining than chaos ruler because its
1. Not a concept that already beaten to death (good bye banned card)
2. Actually make people flabbergasted (on why does fish banish themself)
3. Picture felt more related, going to wormhole felt more to be banished in game compared to banned
as for why fish banish itself, it usually themed as the fish going to the very deep sea (abyss zone) a quite unreachable point in earth so it technically banished, as shown as "Forgotten Temple of the Deep" where the small fish technically sent to the deep ocean. the problem is, in the game this banished is no different than bystial banished / chaos banished so it felt out of place for the fish to be, lets say, returned to deck via dispater
Fish banishing themselves makes more sense in stuff like Sea Stealth

Combo players hate floodgates players to lock them most of the time just by activating 5 cards
In both cases this is bullshit unfun games, good compromise to me is combo or control that negate somes effects but let the other player play enough to ripost the first turn

People comparing floodgates to negate boards are actual window lickers. Once Baronne spends its negate, it’s gone. Same goes with Apollousa dropping its attack low enough that it can be run over in battle. As in, you can play through a negate board by using in-engine cards. Whereas some ass sitting on TCBOO, Summon Limit, Skill Drain, etc. has functionally infinite negation for a specific mechanic. If you physically can’t play under TCBOO, there’s nothing you can do aside from hoping you draw into the 1 of Duster. Can’t use Phoenix because you can’t even get into Phoenix so you’re looking at HFD, Evenly, or Lightning Storm if you even play those. Otherwise a floodgate that you can’t play under may as well be a board of infinite omni negates because it requires very specific pieces of interaction to remove. It’s also worth pointing out that negate board breakers are so so much more comprehensive than what we have to deal with floodgates. Monster boards have DRNM, Kaijus and friends, Droplet, Raigeki/Dark Hole/Lightning Storm, Evenly, Change of Heart, etc. Mass removal and full board negation that can’t even be responded to. Backrow gets HFD, Lightning Storm, and Evenly for the cards you’d even consider playing. And both Lightning Storm and Evenly don’t always work if the floodgate gets flipped after you commit a monster to the board. Actual moron take. A SHS board gets demolished by DRNM and Droplet and every single board breaker will force out the 2 omnis they usually have so you’re just left with Apollousa. Loads of cards that actually see play can solo that board, whereas your options for floodgates are pretty limited unless you try to play garbage like MST/Twin Twister like we’re back in Shaddoll BA format. Hence, literal infinite negation of a specific mechanic.
