It is the custom rule. So you can bring gold in jewellery form with bill of ₹50000 it’s impractical but that’s how they are. So it’s better to bring gold if you have a female member or child who can get up to ₹100000 worth of gold.

As an indian citizen residing in India the custom rules are clear about it. Up to 1L of gold or 40gms under 1L in value for women and children is applicable.
As a tourist you cannot bring any gold, back to India. If you stay for 6 Months in Dubai then 10G Male & 20G Female, More than 1 Year additional 10G Each This Video is partially correct, But Time Duration is what you need to remember.

India aur dubai mein gold ke price nein sir 200 rupee per gram ka difference hai. Koi bada difference nahi hai.
If when I went to dubai from india I wear a gold chain price 1 lakh inr and when coming back custom ask me the question then how i prove it.
