We haven't received your fingerprints
And everything pending (nothing updated).
Few days ago, one of my had same status and his medical updated(eligibility starts)without showing "Biometric completed" and on the same day he got message from IRCC with 2nd BIL and said him that to give fingerprints 2nd time.
Why this thing is happening?
If your medical is updated on GIC saying ‘you’ve passed the medical’ Does that mean that your visa is approved ?

No it means u have passed the medical exam only
They are checking the other points as well. Passing medical doesn't means that your visa has been approved
