  • We teamed up with Kah-Wai Lin and Viking International Phototours to put on one incredible astrophotography workshop at Joshua Tree National Park!
Night sky conditions were beautiful for teaching students how to excel at astrophotography. From star trails to nightscapes, the students gained new skills in the field. We even worked with tracking mounts that allowed students to capture deep sky targets!
During the day, we worked with the students to help process the images so they walked away with pictures ready to share and print!
Here is a behind the scenes video of our fun experience during the workshop. We would love to have you along on one of our upcoming 2022 workshops found here: www.mattdieter...

Thanks! Typically using 24mm lens for Milky Way shots, or 14mm.

@@kcontentcreator you can shoot the Winter Milky Way right now, but the core of the Milky Way won't be visible until very early morning hours in February.

@@MattDieterich yeah, do you know when is the best time to shoot in December?

@@kcontentcreator Are you looking to shoot a particular object, or just the Winter Milky Way? Winter Milky Way is visible for the entire night during December, so is a good time to photograph Orion and other Winter constellations.
