  • After the last review of SeeMo, Accsoon sent me their latest SeeMo Pro, a rugged version which is built for a different target audience. Here are my thoughts of the product after using it with Switcher Studio for a livestream.
    Here's the video covering the first SeeMo product: • Switcher Studio 9: Exc...
    Hi, I'm Cepheus and I run a livestream production studio. My mobile setup is based around Switcher Studio, while my higher end setup is based around Ecamm Live and ATEM switcher. Feel free to let me know what type of content you wish to see on this channel!

    Thank you for your very informative video ..... I have one question ..... In case of using the Accsoon SeeMo (Non PRO) version ..... (the plastic one) ...... how do you manage to power either your i-Phone or your i-PAD PRO ??? Again, THANK you for all the information and for your time.

      For the first version of SeeMo, you can power the iPhone (12 and above) using the MagSafe charger and clamp it together. The iPhones run longer with SeeMo as well compared to using their built-in cameras, so they should be able to last for at least 2hrs without being powered. If you need to run with the iOS devices powered, get the SeeMo Pro.

    Thanks for your helpful videos. What would you recommend using when using this at remote locations where there’s no wifi to connect all your iOS devices?

      Good day! WIFI is a type of local network connection, meaning you don't need internet access to create your own WIFI network for your devices to communicate. This happens when you simply set up a router without connecting it to a modem. Any WIFI router will work, and you can still use SS for recording when there's no internet access. It's Switcher Studio, a multicam livestream production app that we have been using for the past 4 years

    how about using it for srt with the app cameraFI? possible or not? both, seemo pro and seemo? Thanks in advance.

    • @kactussg
      @kactussg  7 місяців тому

      I have not tried CameraFi Live. Seeing that the SeeMo is like a capture card for your phone, there shouldn't be any issues using it for that app to stream SRT.

    how do i keep the seemo pro powered infinitely without batteries? do I use lemo cable? do I use dummy battery?

    • @cepheus
      @cepheus 7 місяців тому

      You can use an AC adapter with NP-F dummy battery to keep the SeeMo running

      The D800 have clean HDMI output (you might have to set it in settings first) so it'll work. I'm using Nikon Z5 and Z6.

    I wonder how the battery performance is compares Seemo to the Pro. Is it durable for more than a few hours of a long live stream? Would it drain the phone battery in that case?

    • @kactussg
      @kactussg  Місяць тому

      I’m pretty sure it can last at least 3hrs on a NPF970 battery, powering SeeMo and keeping the phone charged. Original SeeMo will drain the phone, the Pro won’t.

    The weird thing is, Accsoon has been promoting the iPhone Power Cage on all their video promos, but it's not available on their website or anywhere else. Kinda of defeats the purpose if the cage is unavailable for mounting iPhone, could have just keep with the original SeeMo since it's easier to bring on smaller sets.

    • @kactussg
      @kactussg  6 місяців тому

      Indeed, I believe they are pushing people to use this with their iPad cages. That's why I prefer the original SeeMo as well.

    can u use accsoon seemo to live stream to zoom ?

    • @kactussg
      @kactussg  2 місяці тому

      Hi, the Seemo is built with the primary purpose of using an iPhone or iPad as an external monitor for cameras. You can't stream from camera directly to Zoom from it. Alternatively, get the Accsoon CineView HE, which supports UVC from the receiver unit.

    I know this device was not built for Android, but could you test on an android device to know if it would work since it's usb-c. It feels like Accsoon abandoned android users. 😅

      @@kactussg I got the original Seemo back in November of last year. I was super excited cause I honestly prefer using my phone as a monitor. The input lag was terrible, the UI of the actual app left me desiring something better it felt really gimmicky to me. I used the Seemo with my a7iv and a black magic pocket cinema it worked but I honestly felt like I would’ve been better off buying a Portkeys PT6. I ended up never using it again after the initial excitement wore down now I don’t even know where it is. Hopefully this time around it’s a lot better
