If there was money pumped in arts and strict regulation on 80% local content(local to mean Kenyan and not local other countries)on the media. It would ave immense effects
This is the year 2021. U make that regulations and people will shift to online music sources. Unless u keep the people poor so they can't afford internet. We also have mixtapes like we used to in the 80's and 90's music taste cannot be forced

@@carloskom4t true but not true south africans have always listened to their music even with out the laws. we on the other hand have 40 different languages different regions listen to different music and i am sure if you include vernacular music we still listen to mostly kenyan music. finally telling people to go online will not work coz all you are doing is making the music you dont want stronger by giving them more views and less for kenyan music. radio is a dying medium

We like wamlambez but we can't have 100 wamlambez songs thats why sauti sol and nyashinski are still on top. If our artists keep working they will find their own sound just like south Africa did and if they get investors the sound will stay around like afrobeats. Keep grinding

Problem to make it and get support from all corners u need songs that can be listened to in the entire country sio urban areas only like Akina Jaber Suzanna etc. The more of these u have the more support u will get. The youth are jobless and broke yes they enjoy your music but they have no funds to really support you so make music that increases your listener base and u will succeed otherwise u risk getting stuck at urban music
