hidden gem heaven bro she’s 18 what on gods earth? No shit she acts like a child. “Boomers” or younger folk seem to think we as 18 year olds just magically become more mature by upping our age a digit. Sis no
i think that lana del rey influenced lorde, who brought "dark pop" to the mainstream. and i think lorde paved the way for billie to be able to become as successful as she is. the main pop stars were turning pop music into trap/rap and billie was something new.
gay for irene yes but Melanie blew up while like 2 years before Billie started her career and before that she used to listen to Lana, without Lana there wouldn’t be Billie like she is right now also because Lana was the first to do dark pop periodt
Honestly, anyone can have their opinions on billie's music and whether or not they think she's overrated, BUT as long as people can acknowledge and accept that she does in fact have undeniable talent and people can agree that she's unproblematic with zero bad intentions in her lifestyle. That's the most mature mentality.
hidden gem heaven Billie clearly tries to put out an image and teach a lesson ESPECIALLY FOR TEENS LIKE HER that being real and true to yourself is the best way to feel good about who you are as a human, along with the many reasons as to why she is the kind of artist/person she is; she has explained this in several interviews and it is clearly unproblematic. And if i'm to correct myself any, I believe she has no bad intentions in *the kind of influence she has on her audience, which is shown by the way she is seen as by the public eye*.
i don’t think billie’s underrated or overrated. i honestly think she’s getting the recognition she deserves and works for. before she was the like IT girl everyone was like “she’s so underrated omg so talented love her” and NOW THAT SHES GETTING RECOGNITION everyone’s saying she’s overhyped and doesn’t deserve it. make it make sense
It just matters so damn much to these people that critics and fans only express exactly the right level of appreciation for musicians. No more, no less. It's just that freakin important. If only they could hold a rating summit and come to a consensus on how much every artist should be loved. It would make my life so much easier to know whether I think too highly of any certain musician.
@@FunnyLittleFrog yes but alot like her cuz they think it is a personality, alot of them is like "ohhhh billie has depression me too we can so relate like if it is cool"
@summer nights Just like synthpop was a trend in the 80s at least it actually sounded good. And the audience wasn't just for teenage girls, Madonna's audience was teenage girls but not everyone. Today, literally everyone makes music for mainly teenagers like me
Billie Eilish is an amazing artist. She sounds like a genuinely good person, too. In combination with Finneas, they can go really far. Something I don’t agree with is the fact that people tend to hate on her because of others comparing her to people like Lana Del Rey, Avril Lavigne, Melanie Martinez, etc. Another thing that is incredibly annoying is how some people think her mental health struggles are ‘trendy’ and should be something to imitate when she’s just somebody trying to raise awareness and speak out about it. In addition to that, I think it’s also very unfair that we say things like “she will never be as iconic as Avril” or other artists. We are more biased to Avril and older artists because it’s what WE grew up on, but if Billie continues to rise the way she has, I could definitely see her becoming an icon to younger people the way Avril was to us. It’s time to stop comparing artists (especially women, for some reason) and putting others down to raise one up and time to start appreciating them all at once with no competitiveness. So yeah, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
AARON // AARON // I recommend you check out her cover of Fallin by Alicia Keys! She’s a classically trainer vocalist with a wide range and can belt; she just sings the way she does as a stylistic choice. You though her “whisper singing” is also difficult to do healthily and accurately. Breath control is harder then it seems! ua-cam.com/video/yOhkuyC-LWs/v-deo.html (Also, James is a fantastic singer, he just needs some more training. So I’m not sure if that was a genuine comparison on your part or some insult to Billie. Have a great day)
Hey, I’m someone who is a teenager (on the younger side) and I think she’s already an icon to our generation. She’s very talented, and speaks to us like not many other artists do. She’s not the greatest of all time or anything, nowhere near it, but I think that she’s definetly an icon of my generation.
hidden gem heaven also WHAAAAT I just read the rest of your comment BILLIE IS A HUMAN BEING oml I’ve never seen something so disgusting... people shouldn’t be drawing naked pictures of a girl who wasn’t even 18 at the god damn time. You’re sick
Usually women go from girly to dark in the industry. Like for some reason, girly is seen as immature and dark as relatively more mature. Hence I doubt Billie will become more feminine, because she earns not just because of her music but also her edgy persona. But you never know haha
She’s so talented but she’s overrated overall as a person. She seems like a great person and has a great voice which I cannot lie about, but people overrate her as a person and jump to conclusions too fast about how great of an artist she is and i just hate how ppl follow the “trend” of feeling depressed and sad just because they listen to billie’s music, like it’s not okay. (And btw ya’ll all know what I mean with the sad and depressed thing, im not saying that it’s a trend or that it should be followed. Im just saying what I feel like ppl do or feel whenever they hear billies music)
Yeah, but that's how it is. This generation made mental illnesses seem cool. THEY ARE NOT. Depression is shit and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. It is ridiculous what teenagers think is quirky and people use these mental illnesses as personal traits. No no no.
She isn't "setiing a trend of being depressed". Her music helps people who are depressed or feel like they have no one, feel loved. Or understand. Nobody is pretending or making a trend to be depressed. Listen this is the truth. No one is as happy as they were 10 years ago. People have issues and the world isn't the best place, and people are sad.
I personally don't like Billie's persona, I think she used to make better music before she had this kind of dark, depressive vibes and attitude, although I do have a lot of respect for her, as she managed to achieve this level of success at such a young age.
@@MonoEnta I actually LOVE Melanie Martinez, she has this weird twisted vibe to her, but I DO connect to her music, I think she makes great music, can't say the same about Billie tho... her music today is unlistenable.
I really hope that as she grows up into adulthood, she can develop more artistically. She has an immaturity in her music that I was just never attracted to, but I can understand how other young people like it.
same. you put my thoughts into words, something about her music feels very juvenile to me (and this is coming from a 16 year old) but it just doesn't feel meaningful, it feels like she's trying too hard to put an edge into her music. its just missing something
@@claire-fd7kq then you've havent listen to listen before I go, everything I wanted, I love you and others. Her music does have meaning of you listen to the lyrics or interviews. You have to get past her dark vibe.
Yuzuru Library well I mean with bad guy she even said it was a joke. Not to be taken srsly. And when she’s singing abt serious topics like sucide in listen before I go, she isn’t being childish in a sense.
Marie pineda agreed. I don’t have a problem with new fans but most of them are kinda annoying and immature. I’m really happy that she gets recognition as she deserves, but I also miss those good old days. 😭😭😭
@@andresvillanueva5421 I see both but on any video about Billie I see more negative comments than positive. also yeah I agree I feel like most fans now are only fans because shes trendy and new to the spotlight
Honest dragged that album last december, said it was lackluster and unfollowed her on instagram. then said on his twitter that she wears diapers to sell her art. while praising her before k-12...
because that album is not that good... K-12 is lyrically weak, way too much going on in the production, and overall underwhelming compared to Crybaby. Sorry.
Not really... For a comeback album, it was pretty weak. She went from dark pop to generic trap production. The production and lyricism was so disappointing compared to her crybaby album. The only redeeming factor is the creepy-cute school aesthetic. It wasn’t a terrible album, just not very notable.
There is not. The only wrong thing is this recent tendency of going from loving to hating something so easily all the time. It's like you can only be a fan or a hater lately
@@hellotaco1235 u absolutely right but some of Billie eilish's fans come for your jugular like they know what the fuck they talking about they could really verge someone to kill themselves omg sometimes they are disrespectful disgusting and rude and they don't know when to stop but not all billie eilish fans are toxic just a lil handful

It's too early in Billie's career to say she's "the next" anyone really. Also, why do people need to compare artists to the older artists from the generation before? I just don't get it.
I've been a billie fan for almost 2 years, she's been a big inspiration for me and I've always loved her music. her songs have made me feel not so alone, I just love her.
SAME i literally couldn't care less about her newer era its just so boring to me. I LOVED her EP dont smile at me but her newer album .. i cant get into it for some reason
Michaela Bridges Nah she is definitely not underrated. The girl won 5 Grammys (all in one night), her songs constantly get played on the radio and almost everyone talks about her. She even got to sing the James Bond song and she performed at the Oscars.
@@Mckaykay419 so if i don't like Trump i shouldn't say anything!? People have opinions and some are negative...negative comments won't kill Billie's career
there are a lot of comments that support her tho. if they’re being disrespectful then that draws the line for me but if they say “i respect her but i think she’s overrated” i get that, like at least they respect her
i love Billie but she never EVER worked as hard as Melanie Martinez did, Melanie worked for a movie for 4 years and put it out for free , Melanie deserves so much and is so underrated
It was all in gods plan for these people to be where they are now, some might have to do more than others, or they have a short career because they’re needed elsewhere
These titles always make me laugh even before I watch the video. I kinda feel bad for her cause where can she go after the Grammy's? People are going to put so much pressure on her. I hope she can keep making the music the way she wants.
hidden gem heaven Must be fun pulling claims out of your ass. Billie has written multiple songs on her own, namely “listen before I go.” Most songwriting is split 50/50 with Finneas, if not slightly more on Billie’s part. She has claimed this on multiple interviews. If you check out Finneas’ Ep “blood harmony” you’ll see the differences in their songwriting quite clearly. Every fandom will have shitty fans. The more popular, the more toxic fans. That isn’t an excuse to hate an artist. Judge them by their work, not their fan base.
I used to be a fan... I do think she's become a bit overrated over the past year though and she tries too hard. Her imagine (to me) doesn't seem to come naturally like other alternative artists. I read a comment under Honest's latest video on Lorde where the person said Billie Eilish is the alternative artist of all alternative artists. In my opinion, they couldn't be more wrong. Edit: Oh and also, she romanticises this whole 'depressed' character. Not saying she's never been depressed, but she's definitely used that to fuel her career. And honestly without all the 'dark' videos and persona she wouldn't be as famous as she is today.
I knew I wasn't the only one that didn't buy the whole oversize depressed loock, yes she was urban and liked big hodies and pants but she also was colorfull and a pretty normal chill but happy teen girl. Now they dress her in massive granny channel and guccy loocks in black and whithe whith a bit of neon so it loocks edgy enough, they roping apart her starts and turning it in the bigest comercial sell and make her act inespressive and death all the time.
@@Neroba but her oversized looks aren't supposed to be edgy, they're supposed to send a message of her not wanting to be revealing/sexualized as a musician.
Valentino but the. She kinda contradicted herself and said that it is ok to wear what u want and that it is your choice... I was kinda confused. Personally I don’t think girls need to wear baggy clothes to not be sexualized but unfortunately our society is fucked
I still remember back in 2017 or 2018(?) i guess.. I heard Copycat for the first time, it's the very first song I've listened from her. It was just different and unique. I loved it! I remember when that video only has 10k+ views in it... idk but less than a 100k. I didn't expect her to become famous yet here we are. I'm not really a die hard fan, I just casually enjoy listening to her music, but I missed those times when she has a small fanbase but were actually genuine to listen to her music not like today, some fans are toxic and some just listens for the hype.....
Billie wrote none of her songs alone. She created everything together with her brother and for him to be only mentioned once in this whole video is a bit disrespectful towards him. Billie Eilish is a persona created by both Fineas and Billie. They both worked equally hard on the songs and produced everything together without any big studio production. I know Billie is the face of the music but they both deserve equal praise, attention and criticism.
@@oneiric-diary I'm sure she wrote most of it, but Finneas helped with at least the chorus. They made it a song about their relationship, and that was his contribution
I discovered Billie Eilish with you when you put “bored” as one of the ending song of your video. Been a fan since then. Crazy how she evolved. I’m proud of her. She deserve it.
She's not like other girls but I'd compared to people like Ariana, Lana del ray, Lorde, etc. So saying that she is "not like other girls" is the biggest stretch I've seen today.
*I hope that Billie will continue in the style of "everything i wanted”* and will do a collab with Aurora, I think that with Aurora, Billie will be able to fully open up in terms of the text, Aurora is one of the best writers nowadays Fun Fact: because of Aurora and her song "Runaway" Billie started recording and writing songs
Yea honestly I really do like her. I Heard ocean eyes and then bad guy, and was like woah.. It’s not my scene but I definitely knew she was on to something great. Can’t deny the talent.
she’s incredibly talented, but finneas deserves so much more credit than he gets, he’s a genius when it comes to producing and creating music and really shaped her unique sound. so glad he won producer of the year at the grammys, he absolutely deserved it
“When I think of Billie Eilish and her music, she doesn’t remind me of anyone. She’s a very singular artist” yeah.....no. I think of Lorde. I think of Melanie Martinez. She has her own sound like most artist do, but she’s not THAT different.
both her and Finneas are amazing and I'm glad Finneas is finally getting some recognition for his work on Billie's music he's extremely talented and it's truly inspiring how they were able to make most of the music they make at their childhood home
I've honestly never understood why so many people hate on her for being 'overrated'. It's not that deep. I also hate how so many people say that she 'glorifies mental illness' when all she does is talk about depression from time to time. Some artists get praised for using their platform to bring light on mental illness but when Billie does it- she's setting a trend?
I remember what it was like to be a depressed teen. The shit I wrote then was morbidly embarrassing. Her family seems like good people. They seem like a good support. Most of her songs aren't even that depressing. Most of the interviews I've seen, she seems friendly and engaging. If you actually pay attention beyond the hype you might realize she's not the caricature people lazily presume she is - who would've guessed that? But why would anyone pay close attention if they don't find her appealing in the first place? I find most criticisms suspect for that reason.
The one thing that bothers me the most is the unnecessary amount of bandwagon hate Billie gets like you're not quirky for hating a popular artists it just makes you look stupid lmao
At only 18, its impressive to see how much she's accomplished. Especially with her and Finneas being the only writers/producers behind her work. Her EP and album have also had so much staying power over the last few years. I'm interested in seeing what's to come.
Billie has a beautiful voice and I’m very proud of what she has accomplished at such a young age (and she’s literally the same age as me!) she’s very sweet and humble and her music is good. People call Billie overrated because she gets the hype for being “different and dark” or “an artist we’ve never seen before” when there have already been plenty of other artists not in the spotlight like Billie that have been doing this type of music for years. Honestly, there are simply better artists than Billie. That being said, that doesn’t discredit her of anything and props to Finneas cause he’s a main reason why Billie’s career boosted.
In some categorys she didnt deserve the grammys i feel like ariana deserved half of the categorys that she was nominatedand the other half billie, gaga, lana❤
“people follow her trend of feeling sad & depressed” or maybe a lot of people are actually depressed & sad? She talks about mental health which is amazing, she opens conversation about it & personally, her songs help a lot when I listen to them. Also, Stop saying being depressed is a trend now, because it’s not, more kids are just open with how they actually feel. That’s like saying being gay is a trend bc people feel more safe to come out.
You are probably saying this cause people make fun of your fake depression like seriously ik that has everything she wants even a good caring bf and still fakes depression on her stories for some attention there are probably some real depressed girls but doesn't change the fact that most of them are lying
A year ago everyone was saying billie was underrated and had the most amazing voice. Now she’s at the top everyone’s saying she’s over rated. Basically as soon as someone gets big their “overrated” . I think she deserves it tbh. She’s got s beautiful voice and her songs always get number 1 and she’s got a pretty unique look in the industry. That’s why she’s successful.
bro fans relating to their artists is nothing new, why do all these sad people think that making fun of teenage girls for relating to their fav artists is cool now like sit down, you’re nothing special
gracebelle maake What? I’m not making fun of them relating to Billie nor is that what I’m talking about. I’m talking about girls who say they’re “depressed” when they’re not because they wanna be like Billie. They look at her aesthetic as cool when they have a bigger meaning sometimes. I’m annoyed with girls and boys who think mental illnesses are quirky and cute when it’s a living hell
She gets so much hype for no reason. People act like she created songs that speak about how hard life is. It's so sad how other celebrities who have done almost the same thing, aren't even getting the recognition they deserve. Teens also need to stop saying that just because they listen to Billie's music, they have depression. A mental illness isn't a joke. I personally think she's overrated. Finneas does so much for her songs but, doesn't get as recognized as Billie. Pretty unfair.
I'm not a particularly big fan but I admire her and the hard work shes put into a career that can be so emotionally draining. I really hate when people call her overrated because that word is just thrown around as a 'shes-popular-but-i don't -like-her-so-she-has-to-be-overrated'. just because a few people who don't listen to her type of music find her overrated doesn't mean she is. I can say literally anyone is overrated, it doesn't make it valid. Her fanbase can be annoying but what do you expect when she's so young naturally young people are going to like her. she has so much to show and I'm glad she's getting the chance to do it.
Xa You can’t really say that for everyone tho. People mean that a celebrity doesn’t deserve that much attention because what they do is minor or not that special. No offense
What captivates me about Billie is her face. She can do the dead stare perfectly, which completely juxtaposed when she smiles. She goes from dead inside goth, to a smile so radiant it could Purge the darkest abyss.
Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places but I never see girls claiming to have depression and how Billie is the realest singer and that no one has never felt 'real sadness'. All I see are people just bashing on girls for liking a popular singer and saying they relate because feeling sad is something everyone feels.
I appreciate artists so much who are willing to explore dark themes. I deal with a lot of darkness in my life and the music that acknowledges that helps me through! 💕 such a lifeline.
Billie is definitely a earworm artist. When "Bad Guy" came out, I was trying to pin where I saw her before. It was funny you mentioned "Ocean Eyes" because I thought the same thing: she made a complete 180 in image and started cultivating a more dark vibe. I think if she and her brother are willing to experiment, they will have alot to give in the future. However, I hope they don't lose steam and soak in their success thinking more versions "Bad Guy" would push her career along. I feel like that with bands like Red Velvet where I personally feel their music is repetitive now and if they create a hit seperate from what they make now it'll be a god send.
Carbs Vixen i really don’t think they will and that’s what i love about them, billie said that because everything i wanted was so different from bad guy & bury a friend that she thought nobody would like it :( maybe it’s just bc i’m a huge fan but i think i can count on bil & finneas to stay true to making music they like
@@juliav5729 I'm kind of worried they might lose steam. Success can stress you out. I know they possess talent and thats why they're in the position theyre in but worried they might relax too much. I understand what you're saying. Its kind of a coin toss where our favorite bands end up.
i actually dont think shes “overrated”. she deserves and has earned all the attention she is receiving. billie introduced a whole new sound and style into mainstream music. mind u shes a teenager. shes also relatable to many and is humble, kind and real.
"when i think of billie eillish and her music she doesn't remind me of anyone she's a very singular artist" EXACTLY !! y'all truly don't get how rare that is and it shows. in an industry where everyone sounds/looks like carbon copies of each other, somebody being entirely unique is insane. that being said ari was fucking robbed only bc the grammys were still butthurt she called them out last year
I think people forget that Billie was 15/16 when ocean eyes blew up and she had the whole world watching her. Imagine the extreme amount of stress and pressure she was under having to adjust to that. Being in the media obviously took a toll on her mental health and she chose to showcase that in her music and bring awareness to some of the struggles she’s had. Now that she’s learned to better cope with being in the spotlight and manages her happiness better, she’s at a good place and I’m sure her upcoming music will also showcase that, just give her a chance. :)
imo blowing up is a matter of luck. i mean she is really incredible in ocean eyes but there are a lot of artists out there doing their own works with a great effort and heart put in, but they dont blow up because of the algorithm of streaming services or something like those.
Everyone always hates on fans for saying things like “Wow that’s so deep” or “I’m not like other girls because I listen to Billie Eilish” But am I the only one who’s NEVER heard a fan say this? The majority of the people who say things like that are people making fun of people who say things like that
Agreeee. people just hate by making weird and unnecessary stereotypes. Or they just saw one teenager girl saying that, taking it seriously because we all know that teenagers always said reasoned speech and now they think the whole fandom is like this.
Considering The drastic change Billie Eilish had from her EP to her Premier album I wouldn’t be surprised if the tone changed again now that she’s going into her sophomore album
Billie is HONESTLY very creative, talented and downright an amazing artist. She's barely been 18 for a few months now, she has a few more years before she would go into the adult kind of music. She's more for teenagers and young adults her age. I really like her and see her getting far. She's good at captivating her audience. I hope she does stray from the whisper singing. In the James bond song, she did a really nice belt and even did it successfully live. I would like to see more of those with her original sound. Billie is in a line of her own
damn i remember when she wasn't as mainstream as she is rn, infact not at all, and there were just these few people who knew her name n her music. i used to recommend "ocean eyes" to every other person n everytime i asked "ok so do you know this artist named Billie Eilish?" they'd answer "I've heard her name i guess but i dont know". times change yo
I honestly believe people can't stand her because she is a woman who gained successes and people need to find something to hate on. She deserves all the success she has gained. She is worthy of it. She's unproblematic and spread awareness of very important stuff like mental illness and body shaming
Yall think billies music is meant to be sad!! It isnt! Her voice is soft which makes it sound sad. And the lyrics have meanings... not sad ones. And for yall who are saying shes overrated... i know its ur opinion... but i mean the fact she can hit vocals, and hold her breath that long at the same time and other stuff, without autotune at all.. thats insane. And billie has been through some sad and dark shit. So she is gifted in my opinion..
I’ve been listening to Billie when she was an upcoming artist and debuted her Open Eyes, right off the bat I knew that if the tumblr/aesthetic girls found her music, she would’ve been off, and as suspected, it happened. I really like her music though, she’s a different type of singer, she holds a big of a delinquent/rebellious style in her music, that’s why I like it, they’re simply bops!
Honestly, I’m a Big fan of Billie , I love her voice And the things she sings about , and How genuine she seems and I think the reason people hate on her is because her Depression seems “fake” because of all the people saying they have depression because of her and She seems Like her own person , honestly I’m so excited To see what she has next
Watching this video, I couldn’t stop singing “I’m writing this letter to let you know, I’m really leaving and no I’m not keeping your shit” in my head😫🤣
Some of my family members are obsessed with Billie Eilish; I don't know what on Earth I am missing, but I don't quite understand the hype. Yes, some of her songs are fantastic and the music videos are awesome. I'm sure she performs well too. Having said that, I wonder if her accelerated success may actually be a detriment to her career because it's hard to keep up with such high standards. Hopefully, she can still produce appealing music that will not only resonate to her audience, but stick to multiple generations. After all, we can argue that she's already made history with her previous albums!
I’ve been a fan since “Don’t Smile At Me” and I agree that she is evolving as an artist. Especially considering how much you grow as a person from ages 15-18. She’s always been undeniably talented and I can’t wait to see what she will do next. I definitely don’t think she’s is doing “music for sad people” but it comes from her heart and experiences. She is being true to herself. She’s an amazing role model to young girls/women to just be themselves.
Have you listened to her no time to die she doesn't have to whisper but that's wht she's trying to go for she can have a good power voice but that ain't her vibe again she is different
@AARON except for writing great songs? being an incredibly talented lyricist? and a great vocalist when she shows it (no time to die)? stop hating for no reason, it's pathetic and hopeless
She so work hard to be mainstream artist she doesn't care people criticize her like people more likely to say she can't sing n anything bla bla bla Cuz she have main objectives TO MAKE MUSIC SHOW A KIND MESSAGE TO A WORLD .SHE WANT THIS WORLD BE A BEAUTIFUL N BETTER PLACE. Meanwhile, she also didn't expect she gonna won a lot awards cuz that not a plan. Xoxo
so i got into billie really late. i heard “everything i wanted” and was OBSESSED so i went backwards and listened to her music. i actually really love her older music a little more?! the softer music is beautiful with her voice. i really hope with her new album she goes back to try a little more slower and softer music. i still obviously love all of her stuff though
I’ve never been the biggest fan of Billie, but she’s definitely talented and has some great songs, I’m very excited to see her career progress

Honestly WHO CARES about someone being overrated? What harm does it do? Underrated I kinda get but really it’s not that serious either way.

@summer nights I really need synthpop to be trendy again

I have a feeling that in a few years she’s gonna go more pop and be more feminine and then people will be like “I miss the old Billie”
i hope it wont happen
i like how she is now
Usually women go from girly to dark in the industry. Like for some reason, girly is seen as immature and dark as relatively more mature. Hence I doubt Billie will become more feminine, because she earns not just because of her music but also her edgy persona. But you never know haha

She’s so talented but she’s overrated overall as a person. (And btw ya’ll all know what I mean with the sad and depressed thing, im not saying that it’s a trend or that it should be followed. She isn't "setiing a trend of being depressed". Her music helps people who are depressed or feel like they have no one, feel loved. Or understand. because that album is not that good... K-12 is lyrically weak, way too much going on in the production, and overall underwhelming compared to Crybaby. Sorry.
Not really... For a comeback album, it was pretty weak. She went from dark pop to generic trap production. The production and lyricism was so disappointing compared to her crybaby album. hidden gem heaven Must be fun pulling claims out of your ass.
CatCactus however, most of her well known songs are written by her brother..

So true, just like liking billie isnt a personality trait, hating her isnt either
At only 18, its impressive to see how much she's accomplished. Especially with her and Finneas being the only writers/producers behind her work. Her EP and album have also had so much staying power over the last few years. I'm interested in seeing what's to come.

I’m annoyed with girls and boys who think mental illnesses are quirky and cute when it’s a living hell
Yeah I can definitely see her in our generation now in terms of personality and representation , she's a great and unique addition to pop-culture.
I have a lot of respect for her, think she’s really talented and I can’t wait to see where she goes next
Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places but I never see girls claiming to have depression and how Billie is the realest singer and that no one has never felt 'real sadness'. All I see are people just bashing on girls for liking a popular singer and saying they relate because feeling sad is something everyone feels.
Billie over here with like six Grammys and I’m still tryna close the fridge to see when the light turns off...
I appreciate artists so much who are willing to explore dark themes. I deal with a lot of darkness in my life and the music that acknowledges that helps me through! 💕 such a lifeline.
As a huge fan, I think if she plays it well, she has an enormous future ahead

She's an amazing singer. I keep hearing ppl say her brother deserves more credit

Or they just saw one teenager girl saying that, taking it seriously because we all know that teenagers always said reasoned speech and now they think the whole fandom is like this.
i love hearing supermodel in the background
me too i sing too it
Considering The drastic change Billie Eilish had from her EP to her Premier album I wouldn’t be surprised if the tone changed again now that she’s going into her sophomore album
Billie is in a line of her own
I read the title as "bulls eyes" and i-
damn i remember when she wasn't as mainstream as she is rn, infact not at all, and there were just these few people who knew her name n her music. i used to recommend "ocean eyes" to every other person n everytime i asked "ok so do you know this artist named Billie Eilish?" they'd answer "I've heard her name i guess but i dont know". times change yo
honest consistency during quarantine:>>>>>>
I love her music, voice and personality i hope she continues to deliver how she has for me so many times
queen of asmr songs ✨✨✨✨
Billie is the Chanel version of Halsey, but don’t compare her to Lana. Lana is on that goddess level.
Lana ran so Billie could crawl
PERIODT. Lana>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Eyelesh's I
Stop👏Comparing 👏female👏artists👏
Honestly, I’m a Big fan of Billie , I love her voice And the things she sings about , and How genuine she seems and I think the reason people hate on her is because her Depression seems “fake” because of all the people saying they have depression because of her and She seems Like her own person , honestly I’m so excited To see what she has next
glad to finally hear a respectful opinion on billie, by someone who actually did their research
Watching this video, I couldn’t stop singing “I’m writing this letter to let you know, I’m really leaving and no I’m not keeping your shit” in my head😫🤣
That title made me feel like I was Bella Thorne

I find it odd how I literally always hear about her and see her everywhere but I have yet to listen to one song. I can't be the only one
i love billie so much. i’m so proud of her.
She’s talented but overrated as hell
Have you listened to her no time to die she doesn't have to whisper but that's wht she's trying to go for she can have a good power voice but that ain't her vibe again she is different
@AARON I agree. I think it's just her image/style that people like but her music is meh in my opinion.
@AARON except for writing great songs? being an incredibly talented lyricist? and a great vocalist when she shows it (no time to die)? stop hating for no reason, it's pathetic and hopeless
She's incredibly boring. Don't see or find any special in her, only edginess. Which is cringe.
I don’t think she’s untalanted but she doesn’t sound that unique in my opinion, she just looks unique(aesthetics wise not looks wise)
She so work hard to be mainstream artist she doesn't care people criticize her like people more likely to say she can't sing n anything bla bla bla Cuz she have main objectives
TO MAKE MUSIC SHOW A KIND MESSAGE TO A WORLD .SHE WANT THIS WORLD BE A BEAUTIFUL N BETTER PLACE.
