I picked pile number 2 - spot on and adds much clarity to a messy situation. I have moved away and just started to make huge progress and they reached out with a sad situation they were dealing with. I chose number 2 and it resonates with me very much. Reading is about me and my mother, I realized very late that she was a sick woman, she had been examined a few years earlier and there were already assumptions by a psychologist that she had narcissistic disorders, my mother then downplayed it, but years later I realized it was true. she directed all toxic behavior towards me in order to draw life energy from me. now we have no contact. Our contact is over. I already feel stronger.
can definitely relate to this, big time! same with me and my mother; it does not matter how much love you have for a person that is toxic at you because they will never stop until they choose to be ready. It can be beyond difficult at times but truly, pretending that change can happen with any person that is abusive/toxic in whatever way at you is just unworthy of you because they will never stop being abusive and the damage is already done and they just don't seem to want to stop or maybe they do but dont know how but regardless these people that are abusive/toxic will always be manipulative and just plain creepy and crass in ways that are just blatant abuse. the thing is all and I mean ALL the people that depend on them for anything support their abuse. its hard to admit the truth but once you do, it really does feel like a huge weight leaves you body and brain and you really do feel stronger. "give them your back; and don't interact."
Yes, there is also something about you starting to mistreat yourself, at one point I noticed that I treats herself and others in a very similar way as my mother treated me. That is why it is important to know my limits and rebuild value and respect in myself, so that I can see this value in others and respect them properly, just as I respect myself and to have a healthier life, my mother cannot participate in it, because in order to have a healthy and a stable life, you must have healthy and stable people with you.

" it is in those moments when you start to see how the abuse that was done to you (not just from one person but overall) you can see that, you simply must put your well being first and that is not some easy thing. it takes a lot of work to care for oneself after years of abuse. But it can be done. I wish you so much well wishes and ease!!! because really if we can't want well being for one another, what's the point of being well and living well?? much love and well wishes to you. & it takes time. it takes work. but oh man, when you just know that you value yourself and the people around you, you just stop being around or near those that do not value your most basic rights as a human being.

I had Pile 2 and 3. I have yet started 3. But as far as 2 goes. As usual you are spot on, I am one of your Pile 4 people usually , I'm always in the piles that blow you away. Let me say Pile 3 has been playing as I'm writing and oh my goodness! Pile 2 and 3 work together in my situation Pile 2 was a good opening to Pile 3, because they both work hand in hand. I've known all you have said, but a few days ago I totally lost it and flipped out and called out everything and Pile 3 said all the truth about what'd been Goin on. The messed up thing about it is, the person is my grandmother who will b 85 on Friday and I take care of her and we live together and I can't b thar person and just move on and walk away and not have the guilt if and when something happens to her. I did tell her there's only a couple out comes either she changes her games and I called her out on all the games and the guilt she inflicts on me and how much joy she gets from my pain. So I said I'll no longer react to your crap so for now on its over. If things don't change I'm leaving and I no longer will stay and b here anymore if I walk out the door I will never see you again and I swear to God if you don't stop playing the games and getting joy by destroying me. I'm going to leave and enjoy my life and it don't matter what happens to you I won't return to your life ever again. I walk out the door its final and you know it. She was in complete shock. I told her it's either her or me cuz I am suffercating and she's killing me more and more every day and if I was truly loved by her like she says she does she wouldn't allow her games and whatever else it is that makes her think it's OK to push me and hurt me and make me feel bad and worthless and now wanna hurt myself now and I can't hurt me I have to much to live for and am too young too be in this situation. She was in utter and complete shock and I told her if I stay and it don't change I die. So I said from now til whenever I decide whats next, I will save me from destroying me and the moment I walk away if that happens take in whatever it is you need for your memories cuz that will b the last of me you shall ever have I'd me walking away. As of now she's been on good behavior but I'm not foolish I know she'll change temporary to get me to settle down. But my dilemma truly is how do I walk away and leave her alone and not have it affect me and in the end destroy Me. I'm an empath with grand intuition and insight. I can feel and see things, esp since when I see things its like I'm watching interactions and situations as I sit and watch and it's crazier when I see things when I'm involved. How do I survive and deal with the consequences of my actions if I turn my back and walk away. I seen both outcomes and guilt, pain, non forgiveness, and hate for myself destroys me in the end. My heart won't allow me to be careless and cruel. I can't be the bad guy unless it comes from a place of anger and I react from anger and pain.
