A breath of fresh air to hear a real reader (and Alex Jennings, reading here, is a fine one too..). So many novels on YT now are read via AI and after 10 minutes I have to throw in the towel.

Somerset Maugham was a superlative author; his stories are rife with incisive character sketches, unrelenting dramatic tension, and queer surprises that invariably reveal nuanced layers of human paradox. I urge you to read his written words.
Radio 4 Xtra has access to the finest collection of radio drama in the world, but elects to churn up some of the most dismal content known to man.
Very nice. But the skips were annoying.
It amazes me how a corporation that can produce thus can also churn out the most left wing diatribe known as HIGNFY and Question Time etc.
