  • "ARIMAONGA" [N. Alcala, 2011] is a huge, playful dragon in the skies. It would sometimes swallow the moon thus causing an eclipse. The Maranao people of Southern Philippines believe that making loud noises would force Arimaonga to disgorge the moon.
    Here, Choir of the World (Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod) 2009 winner The Philippine Meistersingers (formerly AUP Ambassadors) performs with choir director Ramon Lijauco Jr at the 10th Halina't Umawit Festival at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. (Recorded by Holland Buela).
