I left the UK 5 years ago. I have been a business owner for over 25 years and still have a business there but my staff now work remotely. I moved to Thailand and now have another business here also and things are so much easier here, the quality of life is so much better and it's much cheaper to live also. Not to mention incredible food and people and weather and getting to see doctors or dentists immediately... I could go on. I will never leave Thailand now and I have many wealthy friends from the West who have moved here also and loving it for all the same reasons. The UK for many reasons has spiralled into a horrible place to live now and it's only getting worse under this current Government but the Conservatives before also drove it down too.
If your staff work remotely why do you keep the business in the UK? It's much cheaper to live as an expat but not for ordinary Thais, that's quite obvious. Getting to see doctors and dentists privately versus a public healthcare service. I'm not saying the UK is great but you're comparing apples with oranges as a privileged expat that the UK has afforded you to be. Thailand for the average Thai is a hard existence, low pay, poor conditions, little protections and long 6 day weeks. The average Brit has more disposable income and a much easier work life than the average Thai.
Like many I'm thinking of leaving. I love my home and the countryside. But it's becoming impossible to live in UK. Anyone with a car is being persecuted too.

Its actually not too bad in the North of England. Wages are decent, houses are affordable. I only hear people in the South, especially London complaining. Billionaires are useless to a country. Only their companies' tax matters. Millionaires are another matter as most of them are owners of small or mid size businesses. So if they depart, it would often impact employment and a country's revenues. So sad, what a great country to run down 🤯
If you have the means to immigrate or return home to your country of origin then simply do so - Its not going to get any better in Britain as the indicators are currently indicating!
Here is a good tip for checking out the place to move to. If you see graffitti on every available wall space including public transport you know the writing is on the wall and its not a safe place.
I see everyones comments, just picking up and leaving isn the easiest thing. Let me make clear, I dont blame anyone of you. We the people, in many different countries, deserve better than the shit we are dealing with now. But I put a lot of value on family, friends and loved ones which most just cant pick up and leave. Also, you go and move to another country and next thing you know they are changing their laws not to benefit the day to day people. This has happened with some of the recommended countries. Corruption currently is very deep and wide, be careful what you choose. God Bless us all!!
No one has ever said its easy. The point is to quit making excuses and to just do it. People just want excuses to never help themselves which is why they'll stay and lose everything. Funny thing about moving, when you succeed, you can help family move, or, help them visit. The sooner you move and thrive, the sooner you can help them, assuming you achieve that before time runs out and it becomes too late for people to change financial class (CBDC's and travel bans for the 99% will enforce that, coming soon (2030)).

Massive tax hikes coming in the UK as the UK jumped in on ‘project Ukraine’ thinking they’d be dividing up RU’s resources at this point, but it’s not gone as expected. Ukraine defaulted on loans to the UK 1st sept & it’s cost the UK billions - & that’s just the start.

Billionaires are useless to a country. Only their companies' tax matters.
Millionaires are another matter as most of them are owners of small or mid size businesses. So if they depart, it would often impact employment and a country's revenues.
