i have been looking for this game forever, what a crazy ending. i also find it funny that ou fans still cry about this game, even though they had all their victories from 05 vacated
The catch by Amendola was a first down due to his forward progress. The moment he secured the catch he was right at the 1st down marker. Henderson was not down before he crossed the goal line, because his body was on top of one the o-lineman. By rule he was not down..Wreck 'Em Tech!!!
I know this was posted six years ago but I have to comment. On the first down, if you go frame-by-frame the OU player had two hands on the ball when the Tech player only had one hand on it. There is no way that that is a tie. But for argument's sake let's say Amendola did secure the catch. He clearly hadn't secured it on the first touch and by the time he got two hands on it the ball was easily a yard short. The only player who may have secured the ball at the first down line was the OU player. That and the TD play would be acceptable if it weren't for the horrible TD call on the pass. The official was standing right behind the play and had clear vision to it. It was absolutely inexcusable that he called that a catch even if replay was able to overturn it. Add that play to the other two and it sure appeared that the fix was in.
All that said, the OU defender was in position to easily knock the ball down. He should have known it was fourth down and a knock-down was all that was required.
I love the black ink on the OU uniforms. Gotta love those classy Tech fans. Whether it's ink or batteries they're always throwing shit at the opposing team.
A game is a game. A theft is a theft. Its not right. thats what will always remembered! That same ref gave TT a false first down on that drive. Called touchdown on a grossly no catch that was overturned. Running backs entire lower body down to the cleet were were on the the field when he pushed the ball over the goal line, with that ref staring right down the hole and did what he was bonused to do. Simple.
O8' Set Tech Straight!!! I mean after all, what ha tech ever done except steal an Ou coach and get luke warm for a couple years. Yes the financially rewarded Zebras did what they were told to do twice to hep get a fan base for Techy.
I was at this game. Sitting across from the goaline that is next to the tunnel. I will never forget the Taurean Henderson goaline TD!!
The touchdown that didn’t happen

Matthew McMahon why was all their wins vacated in 05
That’s a lie.. lol Oklahoma has never had wins vacated your thinking USC silly smh
@@ebassey21It’s not a lie. The wins were originally vacated. OU appealed, and they were reinstated.
05’ wins reinstated, after an appeal. Get your facts right.
He clearly crossed the line before he was down. Sooner fans can STFU lol
No tf he didn’t lmao.
