I know a lot of people don't like Falco because he's cocky, but I'd rather deal with him than Slippy ANY day of the week and twice on Sundays. Even the Slippy-fans have got to admit that Slippy's voice just gives you a migraine after he asks you to get a bogey off his tail for the umpteenth time in one dogfight. Fox will forever be my favorite though. :)

Honestly with the new Dinosaur Planet leak, watching all these videos have me stumped. Like I honestly want to see what a finalized Dinosaur Planet would have looked like on N64, however I cannot understate how wonderful it is to see more detailed cutscenes and a overload of new music present in Star Fox Adventures. I can’t change the past, however I still believe Dinosaur Planet would have been the superior game in the end. With the Dinomod being worked on, only time will tell.

This game is a good example Nintendo trying to change the tradition of their first party games during the Gamecube era. You have this which was essentially a Starfox game that played like a semi dumbed down LoZ: Ocarina of Time. (I know it wasn't initially suppose to be a SF game.) LoZ was cell-shaded and had lots of oceanic exploration. Metroid became a first person exploration/shooter. Mario Kart, while not as drastic of a change to their formula, added a second driver in the backseat. Even Donkey Kong's adventure game involved the use of bongo controllers. For better or worse, Nintendo didn't seem afraid to take a risk with some of their traditional first party games during the GC era.
The reason the true evil boss mixup exists is that Rare was already making a game called Dinosaur Adventure. However, Nintendo wanted a Starfox game for the Gamecube, and they ended up paying Rare to do it. But, Nintendo put them on a tight schedule and Rare decided to take their game already in development and turn it into a Starfox game.
I've been waiting for you... *PATRICK* But seriously, I would've preferred if Scales was the main antagonist, instead of being secretly manipulated by Andross the whole time. He's (Scales) is such a cool character.
@bboyfreefighter my guess is that in the end they were just being used by scales who were being used by andross ( they are probably just happy to be free)... not sure why he had it. but i think its sucks that you couldnt beat it out of him... he was reborn by channeling the power of the krazoa through krystal... hopefully this time he will stay dead.. i guess scales was taking orders from someone he coludnt see and in the end he found out he was just a pawn to revive andross
The game isn't that long and can probably be completed in a weekend, I did it over a span of like 2 1/2 months. It only took so long because i was working and had school. Plus it takes a while do convert videos on an Old PC
My cuzins are now twenty and im fourteen i get called slippy cuz i used to have a voice that high and it stuck to this day since i was six and can anyone tell me where to get this game i never even got to the first boss cuz my cuzin "borrowed" it and never gave it back thx in advanced 2014

I love this game, but the ending was indeed VERY fucking rushed! I still don't get It...why are those badguy dinosaurs suddenly on Fox's side? Why did the leader General Scales had the Krazoa Spirit? How the hell is Andross reborn? In what way did Andross trick Scales? I don't get It :( Can you please explain it?

Yeah sorry but I can see why this was considered the worst Star Fox game; The story is really stupid but the graphic's were pretty good for it's time. Andross looked amazing! but sadly it feels like you're fighting a statue the whole time due to him never moving his eyes. Krystal's Backstory. - What's the deal with her in this game?! its like the Devs couldn't make up their mind!. How Long has she been on Sauria (Dinosaur Planet) since the beginning of the game? She Speaks the Langauge well, yet the game says she Arrived on Sauria after tracking a Mysterious Signal!? How?! When?! Why is she Dressed like a Jungle Princess and using that Staff weapon!? Is that Staff Weapon a Key, she Doesn't Seem to know any of the Technology Fox Used seeing as How she was trying to Shoot at Andross! 8:46 Wait, I've Seen that Ship before! Is That her Space Ship!? HOW DID YOU GET INTO SPACE!!!? HOW DID YOU GET INTO SPACE!!!? its not bad Enough that her Character is practically a jumbled mess of Plot concepts, but that she's also made into a Non-Combatant and then Further demoted to Damsel in Distress! Guess we'll never know about her family... 2.) General Scales, Sharpclaws, and Technology and/or Magic. - Like Krystal, I am confused as to How General Scale's Army of Bipedal Dino-men got their Hands on a Space Ship, Hover Sleds! Fucking Cannons with Visual Monitors! Flying Robot Drones?! (are you Kidding me?!) And Scales having some Sort of Device that Teleports his Ass out of the Treasure Vault in CloudRunner Castle/Temple! Where the Hell did he get this Technology!? And How the Hell did he have the Final Krozoa Spirit inside of him!? Also, Who the Hell was Boss Drakor, and Why does he look like a Cyborg!? 3.) Dinosaur Planet Beta game - I'm gonna take my time with this just so everyone can understand why I'm so hard on this game. Look, there's no doubt players can (and have) enjoyed StarFox Adventures, and I can accept that fact. If you enjoy it, than good, All the Power to you. Sadly, I can't. All the little details in this game are just too hard to ignore, and it builds to a Frustrating level for me as I can see many of the Ideas, Themes, and Concepts clashing with the Elements from the StarFox series! Maybe that's because "Dinosaur Planet", RARE's beta version, became the Prototype for this game at Miyamoto's behest! When you Look back at that game, you can See all the Fantasy elements that make up its design. The Warp-Stone Giant, Krozoa Spirits, the Ancient Alien Race, Time Travel, a Wizard being involved! Don't get me wrong, i can see this actually see these Elements working. Hell, "Star Wars" has pulled off the Science - Fantasy angle incredibly well...even if now the Community is at odds with the movies (the Universe) at this moment. Sadly this game is missing Key Aspects that help Solidify the Experience. And I can think off the top of my head, the one Big problem that needs to be fixed! CONSISTENCY! Consistency in the Story! Consistency with character Motivations! Consistency in the Design of Sauria and its Lore! Consistency with how everything Works and Functions on Sauria! And Finally, Constitency with the Flow Gameplay & Challenge! The Problem with StarFox Adventures, was that they TRIED to Cram Everything from Dinosaur Planet into it, and it just does not Fit! 4.) General Scales - Hold on Folks. I'm not bashing this guy! I think he is an Effective Villain. But he's hampered at the Same time! He is both a Threat and a Non-Threat, as he Doesn't directly intervene in sabotaging Fox or Krystal's plans in retrieving the Spell Stones. He has his Moments, CloudRunner Castle and Krozoa Palace, but those are the ONLY interactions aside from the very Beginning of the game. Otherwise, he just does Not Appear as Often as he should! Not mention there is no form of Escalation within the plot besides what you already know and what you're Already doing to restore Sauria! I mean it, his very presence is wasted in this game! He could've been Two Steps ahead of Fox McCloud, Impeding him or Obstructing him like the Big Green Asshole he is! Getting into Forced Combat situations with Fox as a way to stall for time! Causing Havoc by making an even bigger (Catastrophic) mess than he already has! There needed to be an even bigger sense of urgency to really make that Prick into a Serious Thorn in the Player's Ass! Besides Tricky, these are the biggest Detractors that I have for this game, and it shows. Personally, If i had any directional control over this title, I would've found a way to make a Remake of this game and put in a Solid 3 to 4 year effort in Fixing up this game from the ground up, Rewriting some parts of the Story, adding Krystal as a Character that the Player(s) Switches to between Scenarios or heck...a Pick and Choose Style of play where both their paths in the story is different. And just polishing the overall Player Experience! This game could've been so much better, It should've been more.
Iamasuperstar1000 Very interesting. I knew some of the things you mention, but had no idea things were as chaotic on the developer front as far as how Miyamoto played a major role. I remember liking this game for what it was. I mean I was a young teenager, and it severely had its oddities, but bravo on Rare for doing what they could to even salvage this. It definitely felt like some kind of Frankenstein type of game at the time. But I will say this; if somehow, Nintendo can give this game some love and do a major tweak job on this title (since they own the IP’s) I’d definitely take them up on it. The problem I see is that this game did not garner a lot of die hard Star Fox Adventures lovers. More like, “yeah, it was super different. Great? Meh. Somewhat fun I guess.” So if it would be worth their time? Probably not.

When you Look back at that game, you can See all the Fantasy elements that make up its design. The Warp-Stone Giant, Krozoa Spirits, the Ancient Alien Race, Time Travel, a Wizard being involved! Don't get me wrong, i can see this actually see these Elements working. Hell, "Star Wars" has pulled off the Science - Fantasy angle incredibly well...even if now the Community is at odds with the movies (the Universe) at this moment.
Sadly this game is missing Key Aspects that help Solidify the Experience. And I can think off the top of my head, the one Big problem that needs to be fixed! CONSISTENCY!
Consistency in the Story! Consistency with character Motivations! Consistency in the Design of Sauria and its Lore! Consistency with how everything Works and Functions on Sauria! And Finally, Constitency with the Flow Gameplay & Challenge! The Problem with StarFox Adventures, was that they TRIED to Cram Everything from Dinosaur Planet into it, and it just does not Fit!
4.) General Scales - Hold on Folks. I'm not bashing this guy! I think he is an Effective Villain. But he's hampered at the Same time! He is both a Threat and a Non-Threat, as he Doesn't directly intervene in sabotaging Fox or Krystal's plans in retrieving the Spell Stones. He has his Moments, CloudRunner Castle and Krozoa Palace, but those are the ONLY interactions aside from the very Beginning of the game. Otherwise, he just does Not Appear as Often as he should! Not mention there is no form of Escalation within the plot besides what you already know and what you're Already doing to restore Sauria! I mean it, his very presence is wasted in this game! He could've been Two Steps ahead of Fox McCloud, Impeding him or Obstructing him like the Big Green Asshole he is! Getting into Forced Combat situations with Fox as a way to stall for time! Causing Havoc by making an even bigger (Catastrophic) mess than he already has! There needed to be an even bigger sense of urgency to really make that Prick into a Serious Thorn in the Player's Ass!
Besides Tricky, these are the biggest Detractors that I have for this game, and it shows. Personally, If i had any directional control over this title, I would've found a way to make a Remake of this game and put in a Solid 3 to 4 year effort in Fixing up this game from the ground up, Rewriting some parts of the Story, adding Krystal as a Character that the Player(s) Switches to between Scenarios or heck...a Pick and Choose Style of play where both their paths in the story is different. And just polishing the overall Player Experience! This game could've been so much better, It should've been more.
Iamasuperstar1000 Very interesting. I knew some of the things you mention, but had no idea things were as chaotic on the developer front as far as how Miyamoto played a major role.
I remember liking this game for what it was. I mean I was a young teenager, and it severely had its oddities, but bravo on Rare for doing what they could to even salvage this. It definitely felt like some kind of Frankenstein type of game at the time.
But I will say this; if somehow, Nintendo can give this game some love and do a major tweak job on this title (since they own the IP’s) I’d definitely take them up on it. The problem I see is that this game did not garner a lot of die hard Star Fox Adventures lovers. More like, “yeah, it was super different. Great? Meh. Somewhat fun I guess.” So if it would be worth their time? Probably not.
@Iamasuperstar1000 Well, Star Fox Zero sucked & Krystal wasn’t in it. So, you can’t blame her on the series’ downfall, now can you?
